    Ladders

I have a freestanding triple ladder, with adjustable levelling bar. It can be used as an A frame, with adjustable extension, but it's heavy, awkward, and doesn't fit close to hedges most times. henchman tripods make it redundant for that, in my humble opinion. For the chap who said it's awkward with the long reach trimmer on these, I now have an ordinary cutter to cut my way in close to, and then use the long reach.
  3. I did wonder about the model when I saw it, but i'll keep an eye open too.
  4. I like spiders, and snakes, you know where you stand with them, humans,,, not so much, horrible devious feckers,, especially the females.
  5. Freezing disrupts the cell walls such that the apples can be directly crushed to get the juice. The masceration is a preconditioning in front of the press. Where is @Peasgood he is into commercial scale cider making.
  6. Chippering apples is definitely a thing. I've heard if it being done successfully before, forget where, but probably a cider making book. I think you'd still have to press the pulp though to express the juice. Putting them through the chipper would just be the "Scratting" stage, prior to pressing.

    COLLECTORS.

Thank you for the info, unfortunately not a 2095, but have asked him to keep an eye out.
  8. No need to keep applying all that oil 3 coats is ample
  9. Are you as stupid as Mick? Softly, Softly, the truth will out very soon, then I'll await your response.

    Ladders

After managing for several decades with a succession of unsatisfactory domestic 3-way Ladders, we also sometimes borrowed the safer (but super bulky) henchmans. I never dared leave them locked to a roof rack, overnight tho.. I then wasted 3 or 4 hundred quid on some good (but heavy) Zarges 3 way Ladders, but was gutted to use a customer's MacAlister domestic equivalent one's (at rather less than half the price and weight). Andy Ellis' Hailo ladders look like a much better compromise, to me...
  11. Are these ‘wardens’ the same guys who invited you to the Tommy Toe-rag gig down in London? Maybe they have just heard the rumour and jumped the gun, misinforming you? Are they still making this claim now Haven have denied the rumour?
  12. Yes they arrived, do you want to look like a cnut for questioning me when the truth is out in the next couple of days?
  13. The ones that told you about the bus loads of immigrants, of which there are no photos, and Haven holidays have denied arrived? Forgive me if I take it with a pinch of salt.
  14. Dear wife has just put the tenth and last coat of Tung oil on. We have put some different legs on which we are happy with
  15. They won't have it until it comes to a town/city near them, wankers, nothing more, nothing less.
  16. Today
  17. Keeping an open mind, give me a rest! This info came from the wardens in Clee.
  18. Best way! I saw a statement the other week from a company dispelling rumours that their hotel was to be used for asylum seekers. It happened to peak my interest as I was looking to book a hotel in that area for this coming week, so I went to check them out. Lo and behold, 2 of their hotels were completely booked up till the middle of 2026. Make of that what you will.
  19. Keeping an open mind. Where did you get that info?
  20. Yes, Haven have said they will make their caravans across their sites available to these people. Don't believe me Dempsey?
  21. It was fake news, apparently. But, understandably, quote believable, given the reality of the past ten years or so.

Open field with clear access down a drive off main road. Looking for wood chip please.
  23. So you spoke to them, and they told you about these bus-loads of asylum seekers?
  24. I know the people who are wardens on that site.
  25. Did you personally speak to these people, or did you copy and paste that paragraph?
  26. Awkward for who Mick? Just wait to see if what I've said is correct.
