What and where should I be looking for? I want something decent which will last long term and not need constant tinkering to keep it on the road. It's going to be the second truck and we don't work far from home so it won't be doing a lot of miles with us. and it should be yellow:001_smile:

Any one used or have comments about:

MOD sales

Nene Overland

the Defender Center

My first car was a petrol series 3 back in 1991. I'm guessing they've changed a little.

It's got to be a 130... or should I consider a 110 3500GWT..

Are there engines/years to avoid?

Does age matter or is it all about condition?

What's a reasonable milage?

Is there any thing to look out for, does the chassis still rot?

How much should I be spending?

Go for a 200/300 series,or td5.

Condition is everything with landys, some have had a hard life with not enough maintenance.

Nene overland are ok,but you will pay top prices.

The chassis do rust, and require a good check over when buying, but no more so than other vehicles.

How about Leavesleys, Rocket Site at Misson and that mob at Ampthill? Shardlow Landrovers, Keith Gott, Liveridge Landrovers will convert things, Foley's, landroverman.com, simmonites etc

The list is fairly endless......................
