Coming towards the end of my college course, finishes June 20th and I am looking for at least a good 3 years solid employment in either Ceredigion, Glasgow, Newcastle/Northumberland (where I am from and currently based) or Bristol area. I have listed the various locations in the UK where I have good solid contacts and friends and would be happy to move to at the drop of a hat. By June/July I will have 6 months groundsman and climbing experience. I have 0020-03, 04 and 13 and will have chainsaw up a tree ticket as soon as I can get booked in, so well before June. I have a long background of traveling and working around the world (Australia, Norway, Japan, New Zealand) in mostly physical outdoor jobs. With a lot of experience in chainsaw use, I have trained in Tree Surgery to enable me to travel and work some more in Scandinavia and New Zealand, whilst in Norway the only unqualified job I could find was a salmon factory and I would rather be working in a profession I enjoy than packing fish! 26 years old, sensible, fit, strong and healthy non drinker/smoker, music hobbies and side business of music and record label. I won't last long working with people who like to talk about immigrant invasions or the so called threat of Islam, so need to have colleagues who have a source of information and conversation outside of murdochs news empire. I can provide CV and what I would expect to be stellar references on request. I have a place to stay in the areas listed too and would be willing to travel up for a week or two to do a paid trial. I do not know if this is a good way or the best way to find work, but you never know! I will also be contacting employers directly in said areas. Thank you Thank you for your time

Work wanted! Norfolk/London/Brighton other locations considered.
HenryB posted a topic in Employment
I live in North Norfolk and currently looking for arb work. I took a ten week course at Otley College last year and gained Cs30/31 and 38 and first aid certificates as well as a subsidiary diploma. Since completing the course, I have worked as a tree surgeon for three months undertaking most aspects of tree surgery; felling, hedge cutting, climbing (reductions, thinning and dismantles). I will be looking to take a Cs39 test soon as well as b + e trailer test. In addition to tree work I have over two years tractor driving experience from farm work. I posses all my own PPE but currently do not have any climbing equipment or tools, however I intend to get these soon. Although I am currently living in Norfolk I would consider working in London, Manchester or Brighton as I have relatives that I could stay with initially. I would consider working anywhere else in the country or abroad as long as I can find accommodation. For any more information please send me a message. Thanks Henry. -

I'm looking for short term work, anything considered from half day to a few weeks. I did my CS 30/31 in December so I'm new to the work but have already managed to be involved in a number of different types of tree feeling based contracts. Most of the work has been conservation based, creating clearings and wildlife corridors in areas of woodland. I have also worked on a number of other contracts including supporting work with large trees, trees above houses etc. I'm 49 years old with experience of working in many different types of situations (Including, Airlines, Shipyards, Banks and Biscuit factories.) I would like to think I bring lots of varied business experience and a good attitude to my work. Ideally I'm looking for work that will help further develop my experience, earn a few quid and be good for me and good for whoever I'm working for. I have my own PPE, 50cc saw and basic equipment. I live in Cumbria, I do travel for work when it makes sense. If you think I may be able to help you, or that you might be able to help me please don't hesitate to give me a call 07909923825 or email [email protected] I'm sure my current employer would be happy to give reference ( or comment on the phone) both about skill levels and attitude. Thanks for reading David Dobedoe

Hello there! Are there any tree surgeons around the Totnes area that would benefit from a newly-skilled pair of hands?! I’ve got my CS30/31 under my belt, about to do the climbing/rescue assessment, and I have all my own PPE and chainsaw. I’ve had some experience working on private tree jobs and some woodland management but I’d really like to do tree-work full time. Hope someone can help! Cheers, Maisie

Hi, My name is Chris. I have just moved to the Aberystwyth area. I'm keen to get into tree work, whether that be forrestry or an arborist. I would like to give it a go and would like to know if there are any recreational climbs, or someone willing to take me on for experience at weekends with hopefully being taken on. I dont have any tickets but I'm willing to self fund ones that are needed. I have a full full clean license upto HGV Class 1, also willing to travel a reasonable distance. I'm a good reliable worker with a good ethic being ex military the weather and graft will not put m off. I realise this may be a bit of a long shot.

Hello all. I have recently started my level 3 arb course at Easton college and am looking for work experience in the norfolk/suffolk area. First a little about me. I'm a 25yr old mature student and I am a year 1 arb student. I have my own vehicle and car licence, I have come to arb from working in the IRATA system of rope access so have an understanding of ropes and rigging in I am also a qualified first aider with a recently renewed ticket. I'm more than happy to provided my own PPE although I do not have a harness or my CS tickets for climbing yet. As I am only a couple of months into my course my knowledge is steadily growing and I would love to join a team where I can expand my knowledge. I am happy to provide a CV if needed and am prepared to work as hard as anyone else in this industry. Also if this helps I can make a mean pot of tea and have many years experience with a rake and broom tidying up work sites. Any help would be appreciated greatly. Many thanks JC.

Hi, 27 year old guy looking for work experience with a business or individual in Glasgow. No tickets just yet but I own and use a chainsaw when the wood pile starts complaining too much. I have my own PPE as well. I'm prepared to volunteer my services for free until I've demonstrated that I'm going to be a reliable and solid worker. I'm not looking for any handouts just an opportunity to learn. May well be doing the Level 3 Arboriculture down at SRUC Dumfries end of Oct or might try and gain tickets individually if an opportunity presents itself. I've spent time in Norway with a chainsaw carver and some time in Sweden with a Welsh ex-forestry guy. We spent the summer building husky kennels out of the surrounding forest haha so I have plenty of experience on ground level. Thanks, Rich Mobile: 07933136253
