I have a Grillo Climber 7 series ride on lawnmower. I would like to give it a user-service, but am getting defeated at the first hurdle! I presume that to get to the various elements of the engine (oil filter, air filter etc) I need to remove the green plastic shell / body. However, to remove this I will need to remove the roll bar - and it appears that I cannot do that (inaccessible bolts etc). So… 1. Do I need to remove the cover in order to access these items, or should I just be adventurous / jack up the mower etc? 2. how do you remove the roll bar? It looks like it should be able to slide (yank!) out if you pull in an upwards direction, but this does not seem possible. thank you in advance

I saw your site referenced on the moneysavingexpert site, but I'm not an arborist, so forgive me if I'm trespassing here. I have a question about trees on Crown Land. A very small piece of land - less than 20m square probably - sits next to my house and has five trees on, a couple of which are taller than my house. I understand that the land used to belong to the house builders, but they went into liquidation and so automatically that land is transferred to the Crown. A few years ago I did enquire about purchasing the land, but it was too expensive. I believe, though unsure, I have the right to maintain the trees, but it's unfortunately out of my budget to arrange for the trees to be lopped and the Crown seemingly have no responsibilities. The local council won't help. Do I just have to make sure I have adequate insurance in case the trees damage my property, either with their roots (they are only around 8 metres from the house wall) or because they fall in a storm? I'd appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Hi all, Recently bought a used timberwolf 125 (2005) to get me going as a new start up. My bottom infeed roller has stopped, will move by hand and the top one still works fine. I'm thinking something to do with the spline? Are there any mechanics local to the Birmingham/ West mids area people can recommend? I would have a go myself but wouldn't know where to begin with it. Thanks in advance

After taking almost ½ tonne of batteries to the recycle's the other day I am looking to find a better situation of buying and replacing, my problem is some of our machinery is only used occasionally, be it bike, excavator, saw mill, tractor, car, mower etc. I have optima battery that has lasted better than most but there is only a limited range and similar with varley and Odyssey race/rally style batteries, I am aware that start up run every week or 2 is ideal and or keep on shelf with regular charging management, possible solar charging in situ, I have found most seem to last long enough to get past guarantee date then expire, gasp. My supplier yesterday said they are only built now to be regularly used and not for occasional use. Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Hi all, I've just finished and released a new 131-page eBook covering chainsaw maintenance; written specifically for the UK market it not only covers various types of machine but also the underpinning knowledge about maintenance, legislation and H&S. It should be ideal for those entering the industry or those about to take their Level 2 Award in chainsaw maintenance. You can get your copy at Free Book Cheers, Dave.

I've got a greenmech 150/25 with the shredder on the side. I'm Pretty sure I've found all the other grease points but how do you grease the top roller bearing. I can't even see the bearing. It appears that the bearing should be under the dash panel, I've undone the dash and pulled it back but the bearing doesn't seem to be where I was expecting to see it? Anyone got experience with this machine?

Ground Control are one of the U.K.’s most established landscape solutions providers and we are looking to immediately expand the commercial grounds maintenance contract for the borough of Wandsworth with the advent of three new field teams. We are looking for smart and presentable teams of 2 or 3 who: • own their own van and garden maintenance tools • have solid experience with maintaining commercial gardens • are business minded with a driven entrepreneurial desire who want to expand • are available to take on extra work in the borough of SW London, (Twickenham, Teddington, Richmond, Hounslow, Kingston-upon-Thames, Feltham, Hampton, Surbiton, Moseley, Walton-on-Thames and surrounding areas) (An NPTC PA1 PA6a spraying certificate would also be an advantage, but not compulsory as training for this can be provided.) We have full and part-time positions available for the right teams. If you would like to be considered or would simply like to know more, please contact John Psota-Jenkins at Ground Control on 07912 184524, or email [email protected]

I am looking to do a bit of groundwork through the winter to gain a bit of knowledge of the industry to compliment my ground maintenance business. Max 2 days per week due to contract work keeping me pretty busy otherwise. Doing cs30/31 early Dec and have own PPE, basic saw, professional attitude. Based in North Glasgow. Happy to work with someone referring work long term both ways as I am always being asked for someone to do large trees, and I am expanding the maintenance business. I just want to be able to take down, limb and otherwise work on smaller trees, just gain a bit of confidence with it really. I can be contacted via http://www.danfrazergardening.co.uk or pm here. Regards Dan
