A small personable Arboricutural Association 'Approved Contractor' based on the Oxon/Glos/Wilts borders. We require a highly motivated NPTC certified (minimum 30., 31, 38, 39, 41 and perferably a current first-aid certificate) Climber to work in our arb team. The successful applicant should be a very hard worker and must have at least 5 years CLIMBING experience, with big trees and working with cranes or you must be someone that has that extra spark and natural ability, with a good working knowledge of BS standards and tree biology. We are keen to know what your strengths and weaknesses are.... A full CLEAN driving licence is essential with classes B & E or pre 97. Hello everyone, I have good news. We are a Wimbledon based company with Housing Association customers, managing agents and a growing domestic customer base. Through ArbTalk I have hired Tim and James, they both seem quite happy, they laugh, they climb trees, they eat moss, those sort of things. I have recently had to turn off the advertising because we were getting overwhelmed so it is time for a 2nd team. Tim and James are both climbers so I need a dedicated groundie and a new trainee climber, although I will definitely consider an experienced climber for one of the positions. Basically I need 2 more staff and could do with anyone with a good work ethic and a good attitude. You must have aerial rescue I'm afraid. We have a group company bonus scheme which is based on profit from the 4 Microbee companies, in the past it has been up to £1000 in a quarter, and these days will hopefully be back when we kick this recession. We work on a starting salary basis for about 3 months and then we will increase your pay once you have proved yourself. Self employed arborist/climber wanted in Putney, London Hardy Tree Surgeons is a small highly professional tree surgery business based in Putney, London which has been in business for over 12 years. We provide a high quality service mostly for private clients in South West and Central London. We pride ourselves on having excellent customer relations, being extremely careful whilst carrying out all jobs and leaving sites cleaner than when we arrived. We have not needed to advertise for over 4 years as the majority of our work is through recommendations and repeat work. We carry out a wide variety of work, ranging from small fruit trees to mature 200 year old oaks; courtyard gardens to private woodlands. I currently require a climber with at least 2 years climbing experience not just street trees (ideally to share some of the climbing) for ~4 days/week initially but with scope to increase this to 5 days/week in the future and to work as part of a larger team on bigger jobs. There may also be an opportunity to take over the buisness within 1 to 2 years and to develop it further or take on a managerial role with on-going support. hi I am currently studying towards a technicans certificate in arboriculture ( final exams begining of october ) and am looking for some tree surveying/tree hazard assesment work, or tree appraisals/report writing work preferably in the north west. I am a confident climber and I am willing to go where ever the work my be. Has anyone got any advice for me on where i mite find some work or where i am best looking for work any advice from a climbing surveyor would be helpful thanks

Hello everyone! We recently employed a climber who found my previous advert on Arbtalk, he's still here, and he doesn't look too miserable at all. He almost seems chirpy. I now need a trainee climber or groundsman to work with him, we WILL train you if you prove yourself and we think you won't immediately leave, this is not an empty promise. We're a pretty relaxed company undertaking all aspects of tree work, we just want to continue doing good work without any shouty bosses and such like. Microbee is a small company at the moment with a good amount of work. I'm looking forward to hiring a genuinely conscientious individual who wants an environment to grow into a good arborist. I am looking for a climber who can be given a worksheet and go out and do a good, reliable job! We drive vehicles that don't need pre-98. I will always try and give you everything you need and keep you happy. I cannot eradicate road rage for example, but I will buy you some fluffy dice. We are a young company and everything is going pretty well, we simply aim to be a good company and share in its success. I basically need a climbing machine who will happily go out and do 5 reductions in a week, OR go out and do 5 fells in a week. We naturally have a lot of driving because we are Londonwide, so the intensity of climbing is lower than on a council contract or local firm. We have a quarterly bonus scheme linked to company profit which has exceeded £1000 after tax, but we all have to work to capacity for it. We are expanding and growing, we pride ourselves on being friendly and RELIABLE, I do not want a jobsworth or a shirker, nothing drives me more crazy than someone doing as little as possible. They would need to be able to do crown reductions and hold the relevant nptc qualifications. 2-3 years experience in the industry and 1 year climbing would be an advantage. Hey! I've just arrived in the UK on a work/holiday visa and keen to see what the employment possibilities are like here. Im currently living in Acton but not limited to this location. I'm off to Ireland for St Paddys festivities and keen to get back into the climbing game after that.. I have just finished 2 years in the NZ Army, and have 5 years previous climbing experience including Powerline clearance work, Machine assisted large removals, Council contracts etc. If anyone could suggest good companys here, has employment openings or even wouldn't mind just flicking me a few tips on getting sorted I would be greatly appreciated.
