  1. Yes not only is it important as its part of the saw ,, but in this job you must have a screw lose but as you seem to have lost your lose screw you cant be in the club sorry bye bye.😁
  2. your doing it wrong if you need her to put her weight behind it...or as a lorry driver we just go yeh it'll fit just rattle it in off the walls.
  3. and what ever you do don't throw it in the recycling bin... as it will be sent back to you a week later as a STIHL MS291 3/4 special edition.😁
  4. I myself am in no way a professional faller but if i have a job come in i only have the choice of my 2 a 560xp running a 20" bar .325 and my little efco 3700 running a 16" bar and 3/8 chain . the 560 is used as my main and the 3700 is there as a back up for if i get the bar pinched or to do a bit of liming and let the 560 have a cuppa tea and a sandwich break.
  5. have you thought try changing your fuel filter as it may be starting to get blocked and causing fuel starvation at full chatt.
  6. up a tree without a saw . 😁
  7. so I ask are you leaving the saw on tick over for 1/2 hour before it cuts out or are you running it full chat for 1/2 hour then dropping straight to tickover ?
  8. The way the council is being I have suggested to him that he gets at least some legal advice and starts looking into the procedure of getting a legal aid solicitor as a follow up for letter handling and the possibility of a claim for the damages to his property. just getting his ducks in a line Stubby.
  9. Not only do I want him to season them for me as I'm picking them up for free i will only collect them if he supplies 2 boxes of fire lighters and a gallon of petrol .
  10. My thoughts are if your spark arrestor is getting carboned up it will glow and run hot . you can either remove and clean it or just remove it completely as it is only there to meet the criteria of dry area cutting where as when did you see a dry day in England's fine woods ?
  11. Right a update on the council in Bedfordshire yes i'm going to name and shame them as after many many phone calls to them and them saying it is a urgent issue to get sorted as of Thursday 20/7 my dad is still waiting to see a member of the council about it . so i have told my dad to go seek legal aid on the matter .
  12. yes your right its the same tree i put up in the other post but now after a bit of clearing .it looks different the branches that are stuck in the ground i left as they are holding the weight up. but the ones over the left i lrft because as i was cutting the the main was trying to roll .
  13. this isnt dangerous even though the trunk is rotten at the base of the trunk
  14. we have done that and they say we need to phone them on Monday morning then they will need to look into it . Funny that we have just had the councillor covering my dads ward visit who is also the parks manager and he has said that this needs looking into as a emergency call so he is going to send off some emails . now fingers crossed .
  15. just got down my dads from what my dad says the property the tree came from is council so reading the law they are liable but wont even think about looking at it till we call them on . even though the whole root system is rotten and you can hear the other leaders trying to break away in the wind.
  16. i understand what you are saying but the spur that came down you can clearly see the break point .and all i want to do is make it safe till it can be delt with properly by removing some limb weight from it so it dosnt completely crush the sheds and the property in them .
  17. my farther has had a large tree fall into his garden flattening 2 of his sheds .Now if i take photos before hand can i remove limbs to gain access to what is left of the sheds to assess other losses before contacting the council . and how would i find out if its a tree owned by the man that lives behind my dad or if its council . and how often do the council have to inspect their trees for safety .
  18. because its cold outside he's nice like that .
  19. i have run a 24" on my 560 with a 325 chain just gota remember let the saw do its job and dont force it .
  20. oh well don't forget it was only a 5c o ring that brought the space shuttle down. 😁
  21. if your looking at this one they give a lot of kickback on top bar cuts . there is a clip on the tube where they are vs other battery saws in the wood by those guilty boys .
  22. efco mt370 and my husky 560 just on the bench as im sweeping the floor .
  23. become the sonic boom boy . why not ?
  24. i must say that i run my 560 on the husky power2 premix and it loves it but there again im not using it for long periods so the shelf life of the fuel gives me the added benefit of leaving the fuel in between uses .
  25. i suffer from old age and back problems so even on my 560 im running a 26 inch bar and skip tooth chain so i have less bending . as long as your chain is kept nice and sharp and you dont try to rush its been fine .
