  1. Snatch block halves the line speed. Better to have the power in the place.
  2. For sure my only info is the dreaded MSM. Articles like this: US shoots down UK firm’s offer to help in Titanic sub search as experts urge rethink WWW.INDEPENDENT.CO.UK Urgent calls from explorers to... But in my previous career, National Pride and "we're the best" attitudes resulted in things going FUBAR - EVERY time. I hardly need to name the country do I?!
  3. I think I'd replace the word "permissions" with "pride".
  4. Titanic sub live updates: Search for missing submersible enters decisive phase - BBC News WWW.BBC.CO.UK It is estimated the crew has only... Bit late now you f'ing idiots 😡😡😡 Sending Magellan that is as per news feed - link isn't precise
  5. Pointless buying a cheapy unless you're talking about trees no bigger than 40'. 5t or more and radio controlled. Manual clutches are pure nasty.
  6. OCEANGATE SUBMERSIBLE INCIDENT Magellan is 100% focused on supporting the rescue mission to recover the submersible. We were contacted by OceanGate early Monday, UK time, June 19, and immediately offered our knowledge of the specific site and also our expertise operating at depth considerably in advance of what is required for this incident. OceanGate instructed us to mobilise and “use the means necessary to fly the needed equipment and crew to St. John’s, Newfoundland as soon as possible, stating time is of the essence.” We have been working full-time with UK and US agencies to secure the necessary air support to move our specialist equipment and support crew. We are ready to support, and we are fully mobilised to help. Magellan does not wish to comment on any specific media report. We also recognize the important role the media plays in disseminating accurate information to the public. We kindly request your cooperation in responsibly reporting on this incident, ensuring that the information shared is accurate and verified. We understand the need for information, but it is equally essential that we as a company focus on the ongoing rescue efforts. Our thoughts, prayers, and hopes remain with those on board the submersible, as well as with their families and loved ones. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

  9. Oh nice! Just heard that despite Britain being the host nation for Nato's multinational submarine rescue their offers of assistance were declined (today).
  10. Is the Titanic about to claim more lives? After, 111 years. 😱😥

  12. I like to use Aspen in dense woodland where there isn't much open air as such. Too expensive the rest of the time. I use Stihl HP Super (green) or Castrol 2T racing I think it is. I've read that other page about HP Ultra which is lower spec than Super and is just emission BS.
  13. Would you summise that the 2 stroke oil that Aspen use in the premix is at fault or rather that the burning character of aspen (hotter?) removes the oil film? Would it therefore be better to use Aspen 4 but add your own superior quality 2 stroke oil?
  14. IH engines built in Neuss all designated by cubic inches. D239 / 246 / 268 / yada yada

  16. For a clearing saw blade, especially a chisel tooth even more than a scratcher tooth, you want high rpm to avoid vibration. But I'm specifically talking about clearing not mulching. I would imagine torque would be useful for pulping material, especially once the blade had lost its edge. For the small amount of mulching I have done I preferred the 3 prong blade over the 2 (aka shredder).
  17. Lady Colin Campbell: Prince Harry contacted divorce lawyers 'months ago' - Daily Record WWW.DAILYRECORD.CO.UK The 73-year-old said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had been having 'problems in the...
  18. A Clearing Saw rather than a brushcutter. Thicker, stronger tube, stronger gear head etc etc.
  19. Text reads like classic sales blurb. No buyer writes "boasting a 23hp Vanguard...". So obvious.
  20. Hi. I'm trying to find old saw specifics, particularly late 90's Stihl models inc 024 woodboss, 036 etc. Anyone know where I can find? Somewhere in the past I've seen a site called chainsaw data but can't seem to find it - perhaps it's sadly long gone?
  21. £60-70/t RS plus transport. Latter iro £11-20 depending on distance.
  22. Ain't that the truth. They can't tell you what the weather was yesterday let alone tomorrow.
