I like to use Aspen in dense woodland where there isn't much open air as such. Too expensive the rest of the time. I use Stihl HP Super (green) or Castrol 2T racing I think it is. I've read that other page about HP Ultra which is lower spec than Super and is just emission BS.

Would you summise that the 2 stroke oil that Aspen use in the premix is at fault or rather that the burning character of aspen (hotter?) removes the oil film? Would it therefore be better to use Aspen 4 but add your own superior quality 2 stroke oil?

For a clearing saw blade, especially a chisel tooth even more than a scratcher tooth, you want high rpm to avoid vibration. But I'm specifically talking about clearing not mulching. I would imagine torque would be useful for pulping material, especially once the blade had lost its edge. For the small amount of mulching I have done I preferred the 3 prong blade over the 2 (aka shredder).
