  1. I've a 6x6m or so grassy patch that I want to put a second driveway/join onto my old one. Can get a 3 ton digger off my boss for a weekend no problem. Will be getting someone to tar it after I do the ground works but I was curious as to how much type one I would roughly need? And if anyone knows roughly how much it is per ton. Would be a sheer drop off the curb on the new drive way side as I'm sure you need planning permission etc from the council and what not?
  2. I think I'm going to buy one in January! The 22 or the 35 ton Rock Machinery one and see how it goes.
  3. Here's a photo of my floor, not sure what kind of wood this is but I like the color better when I've mopped it and it's wet/darker. Which is how I've took the photo. Brought a thought to my mind as maybe I could stain it but looking for some advice on prep and what products to use. Also have a handrail going down the stairs.
  4. Thanks a lot. The air filter looks absolutely dog shit compared to others. Thanks.
  5. Wee bit mate. But once it's started surely it would be sound after if it was just the ignition? Not a mechanic by all means but he's a pal so I'd like to see it working for him
  6. 3-4 year old. Been ridden hard and put away wet. It's now cutting out when hot, won't rev up at all without dying even straight off the bat. I sold this fella this saw and now it's playing up. I bought it off a cutter I work with, so I only know some of it's history but I rag the death out of mine brashing and I guess so did he.
  7. Get on Facebook, Forestry Machine Operator's Blog and post on there. A few boys on there cut hardwoods down south and there's bound to be someone near you. Larch is a good softwood to burn. I burn mainly larch and spruce as it is completely unlimited for me and it works well. Lorry load of hardwood around here is 90 a tonne delivered locally. That can be oversize and prosessor sized mixed load.
  8. @Doug Tait to weigh in on this. He's a fossil
  9. If anyone could possibly show me the ins and outs of modding my 562 exhaust on PMs that would be very helpful. Fancy it after using my work mates, seems to pick up a lot quicker... He says someone just dremeled out the back of the exhaust inlet and welded a pipe off to the side. Apparently you don't need to actually cut them/split them open?
  10. Gave it a clean out. Everything caked and full of sludge as usual. Will do a turn. Fresh chain and new ish 20 inch bar. Selling it for 300 tomorrow. I didn't even need to re tension the pull start as it must of been that caked in sap it was near seized... that's my thought on it anyways. First time really doing much to a saw apart from a clutch which I royally effed on removal 0 tins of Export were harmed in the process
  11. Aye you're no wrong. Not seen much love either 😂 selling it to a fella that does firewood.
  12. Bought this tonight for 175 quid but eff me I cannot for the life of me get it to start... Any ideas?
  13. Bit colder today 👌 IMG_3949.mov IMG_3950.mov
  14. Found a photo of our old skidder. Only had it out once on an estate job last year but the thing is class.

Hahahaha. I thought they were meant to be good... To be fair it's more just to soak up forest roads. Currently in a Kangoo with all terrains and it is surprising how far it goes and the road clearance is half decent.

Aye it's a hard find... I've been even thinking of keeping my Kangoo for a long while til the wheels fall off and buying a Dacia Duster.... someone convince me not to. I'm only 28....
  17. Here's 2 from today. Fair size of tree for a 562/18 inch bar.
  18. Komatsu 931 or something like that. Firewood day today.
  19. Pushed a double over with the harvester. Another one for the boiler
  20. More Red Bulls in the morning
