  1. One from yesterday with the new 372XP from Logs and Saws. And my new 353 arrived, nippy little saw will do grand in brashing.
  2. Second that. Buy a pair of ear defenders...
  3. Chainsaw Sprocket Rim Small (3/8" 7 Tooth, 19mm Hole) WWW.GARDENHIRESPARES.CO.UK Replacement part suitable for some chainsaws.3/8" 7 teeth standard19mm internal hole diameter Like this one?
  4. Aye. Exactly the one, you could even buy your own plastic and drill them out like a 14mm hole 9/16ths if you are ancient. Cheap nylon will definitely absorb water as well. Cannot for the life of me remember what exactly I used as it was 7-8 years ago since I used to sell them. If you want to use steel or ally spacers beware they DO create road noise. Like a hum when going down the road, especially the steel ones.
  5. Used to make body lift kits 2 inches or so high out of polyproplene or something like that. Basically plastic round bar with a hole in it for the bolt to go through. That was on L200s/Hiluxes etc. Box section might be liable to folding in on it's self under big loads unless it is very heavy walled.
  6. Change it to what? This'll be the first time converting a saw for me. It arrives tomorrow
  7. Spot on. Only had it out a few days for good work. Got an RBS filter and high top cover coming from @Crocky so will see how that goes.
  8. Is that a Log Bullet? Lowimpactforestry has one on Instagram and posts loads about it. They look class
  9. ed136f5d-533f-4caf-b24b-e538f8014b6e.mp4
  10. Can always do assisted fell or wind blow as another ticket which will refresh small medium and big trees also.
  11. Mgiht buy a brand new 353 for brashing trees only as currently doing it with 572s etc but they're now dying on me. 600 quid for a 353 brand new imported from Logs and Saws. Heard they're hardy little things, which is whst I want for brashing as it is as rough as F on saws. I'd rather not buy chains online etc and I'd rather make my own and I use Husky 3/8ths. How well would this saw perform sharpened every fill with a 15 inch bar 3/8? Also how do I go about doing this, is it a case of just changing the rim sprocket and getting a new bar? Thanks
  12. Alberta gets cold as. When I worked the rigs out there it hit -45 regularly and up to -57 in the wind chil and we didn't stop. Not sure what tree work would be like out there. Alberta is very highly driven by oil and gas. Maybe go out there and go for a change? I worked as a roughneck on a service rig and I made good coin at 17-18 years old. That was 10 years ago now but yeah. Cost of living there is quite expensive. Alberta is a whole different way of life, prepare to travel for work. I used to do sometimes 200kms a day easily to get to site in the Rocky Mountain range. Sometimes 30-50km into the forest to get to a rig. Where in AB are you going to be staying?
  13. Will leaving the plastics in methylated spirit/boiling water for an hour taint the color of the plastics etc? Don't want to fade them.
  14. My pal got in the passenger seat and rammed it right back. Pushing the cabinet through the back window on the boys driveway. funniest thing
  15. Not saw related but it was water tight 🤠
  16. Only a tonne? I've a tonne in the foot wells of my Kangaroo. A mix of saw dust, backy and gravel So let me get this right. Double cab to be no longer commercial so not allowed full price off tax bill? Single and extended cab stays as commercial? What is one was to vow to never clean and hoover it?
  17. Aye that is pretty much what I will be doing... Have you modified the 2 lever to work as one? I was just gonna weld a bit of bar over the top of the 2.
  18. Even with a long sappie?
  19. Do you guys grease the beam that the splitting head slides up and down with? Not sure if it will get all clogged with bits of bark if I grease it.
  20. Aye I always thought of making my own tipping trailer or high sided trailer for carting logs about as I've done smaller ones before and whether or not they were registered to the dvla I have no clue. Be mega to make one of those tipping trailers that work off a winch. Edit, a quick look on eBay this morning for tipping trailers and it is mental how much money is in an Ifor!!
  21. I've made a few bike trailers with them exact ones. Quick weld up and they're perfect. Do you need to then sort out with the DVLA or whatever that it is infact towable on the road after adding this kind of suspension? I know probably not very many people would but just a thought.
  22. I'm a softwood cutter 5 days a week and I'm going to be selling my 562XP as it's coming out of warranty (it's 10 months old). What is the best way to get sap etc off of it? I usually just scrape it with a combi key and a bit of petrol sometimes.
  23. This Rock Machinery one is actually not that bad tbh but post some photos anyway. I have no other trailer that is big enough to throw it in. Maybe if things take off I will.
  24. It is road legal with suspension. The others aren't. I've towed it 200 miles this week mainly just out of testing it and yes, it is a bit bouncing/noisy but the work I want to gain from it, there is no reason to go more than 20-40 miles for it which is mainly back roads for me. 70mph was a test, it handled fine but that was a smooth straight road. I wouldn't do it again.
