  1. Following this, just for the good book recommendations. Got George Brown's pruning of trees shrubs and conifers on fleabay this morning, honestly. 27.
  2. I think it would dry quicker if cut to final stove size lengths and stacked on day 1, Agreed, it's not the best firewood, burns fast when it's dry.
  3. ''It's a beautiful warm spring day and a man and his wife are at the zoo. She's wearing a cute, loose-fitting, pink spring dress, sleeveless with straps. As they walk through the ape exhibit and pass in front of a very large gorilla, the gorilla goes ape. He jumps up on the bars, holding on with one hand (and 2 feet), grunting and pounding his chest with the free hand. He is obviously excited at the pretty lady in the wavy dress. The husband, noticing the excitement, suggests that his wife tease the poor fellow. The husband suggests she pucker her lips, wiggle her bottom, and play along. She does and Mr. Gorilla gets even more excited, making noises that would wake the dead. Then the husband suggests that she let one of her straps fall, she does, and Mr. Gorilla is just about to tear the bars down. "Now try lifting your dress up your thighs" ... this drives the gorilla absolutely crazy. Then, quickly the husband grabs his wife by the hair, rips open the door to the cage, slings her in with the gorilla and says, "Now, tell HIM you have a headache." Apologies to all the ladies present.
  4. 'Borrowed' this one for a farming forum, let's just say it's got a few 'loikes' already. Thanks Sam.
  5. LOL could have been worse if the alarm at the shop exit went off!
  6. Been thinking about the little man pushing a lawnmower around the ever increasing bald spot on top of my head. Too pure? More like too poor? Parlours all closed now so your money is safe for a while.
  7. No tats and no piercings so that puts me at a disadvantage straight away, only managed 5. Sorry Sam, dull and boring, but I can't be a child tv star anymore either.
  8. MF 165 won't have 1000 rpm pto, What's your budget?
  9. I think one reason for the ivy increase might be due to electric fencing along both sides of gappy hedges to keep livestock in. If they get a chance at this time of year they will eat ivy and haws, but if the electric fence stops them reaching it the ivy gets away very quickly.
  10. For me it has to be Willow. main reason is they're almost a weed. When cutting them with a pruning saw they leave a black stain that's hard to remove. But on the plus side they are easy to grow, just cut them and stick them in wet soil and in no time you have a tree, even if it's pretty useless.
  11. How thick is the butt and how thick will the slabs be. Have to say as an owner of a few walnut trees I'm disappointed at how cheap you got it for? But I'm looking forward to the pics.
  12. What height above ground do you cut it at for the first time?
  13. I can't see it being regulated anytime soon. Lidl are selling little bags of kiln dried kindling for a price that works out very close to €1000/ton.
  14. You say you have access to big tractor. Does it have a loader? Fork lift mast on a tractor 3 pt linkage should handle up to 2 ton. What's your budget?
  15. Felix might do the job https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NANRhHYZmC4 Like all these machines it'll be well worn out before it's paid for IMHO
  16. Coil was never a great form of contraception either.
  17. Ya that might be why they are cheap. Tractor I’ll be using has 1000 rpm PTO. Not going to be using it every day though.
  18. I've come across a manual feed junkkari chipper for sale locally, I did a search, posts are a few years old, and some people say they're junk, others like them, but just wanted a few opinions from any members here that have used them. It's capable of taking a 6'' log, is pto driven and specs when I looked it up, is capable of chipping 4-8 cubic meters per hr. I think it's a HJ5 M. Any comments, good or bad, leave it where it is? Thanks.
  19. Not familiar with huskys but the wire going from the coil to the on/off switch could be frayed, causing a short when the cover is tightened up. Might be faulty switch? Spud helped me with mine recently, loose (plug) wire at the coil end was my problem.
  20. Any battery powered saws in Malaysia yet? Wouldn't mind a slightly scratched husky with a very very faint whiff of oil on it, apparently couriers/airlines don't like the smell of petrol! I'm trying to buy a lightly used Jonsered 625 or 630 over here and it's like looking for hen's teeth. Looks like someone in Italy found one Husqvarna Chainsaw Professional 372XP Warranty Italy 24 Months New Warranty It WWW.EBAY.CO.UK BOXCESARE 70.7 cm³ 4.1 kW 70 cm 6.6 kg X-Torq Engine 4.1 kW 70.7 cm³ 10200 rpm 13500 rpm 2700 rpm 3.8 Nm 6600 rpm 3900 rpm 1.5 kg / h Spark plug 0.5 mm 0.3 mm...
  21. Where are they made?
  22. Could you wear a mitten instead of a glove? They might have a bit more room. Husqvarna Comfort Chainsaw Mitten Style Glove NORTHSEAWORKWEAR.COM Husqvarna Comfort Chainsaw Mitten Style Glove. From Husqvarna. Buy Online! At North Sea Workwear, we are the leading suppliers of PPE workwear.
  23. This setter x ? strayed in almost 10 years ago, still very nervous around strange men so I guess previous owner was a man. I'm taking a break from pruning while he takes a break from swimming in the drains.
  24. Yes did that and it is a 5 which =1.5mm so it matches the bar groove. https://www.stihlusa.com/WebContent/CMSFileLibrary/downloads/STIHL-Saw-Chain-Selection-Identification.pdf Mid section of this pdf might help someone else. bmp hot after cutting, oil is going out about 3/4 tank per tank of fuel and bar oil hole is clear. Will have another go in the morning and let you know what happens.
  25. Thanks Stubby that would make things tight alright. This could be a very old (>20yrs) bar and chain Tried to get a few pics of the chain. Some links have a C on them as well.
