  1. I thought the same when they glued themselves to the roof of a train on the Docklands railway a while back, the public basically ripped them off and threw them aside but they don't get the message that this kind of action is not supported.
  2. That's as may be Sir, but I'm afraid you're not in your yard now are you. You are currently on a public highway. Furthermore I am witness to the fact you are acting otherwise in accordance of the Road Traffic Act. Therefore it's my duty to inform you that you will be reported for Acting contrary to regulation 23(1) of the Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989, section 42 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 of the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. Also, your vehicle will be seized. Is there anyone you know that could give you a lift home Sir?

  4. Didn't know its name, very descriptive. The field behind the house is covered in patches of it this year, never noticed it there before.
  5. Hi Gary, she's been pretty good so far thanks. Last few days she's had cabin fever so had small walks beyond the garden which she loved. Feeling sorry for herself today with an upset stomach but it's unrelated I think as she's off all the meds now. Santi been looking after her well! How are you and Betty doing?
  6. Was a good sky to see it last night, briefly! The Perseids meteor shower is happening too but the bright moon followed by cloud meant nothing much to see from here.
  7. Eubank Jr to the rescue Chris Eubank Jr offers to pay for ‘absolutely distraught’ fan to get Conor Benn tattoo removed after failed drug test scuppered fight TALKSPORT.COM Chris Eubank Jr has kindly offered to pay for an upset fan to get a tattoo of Conor Benn removed...
  8. They must think the industry is full of dinosaurs.
  9. Genius. And the OP just needs to become a Tree Officer at the local Council. Sorted.
  10. Good luck with that, I asked the same question once on a forum called TrafficPoliceOfficertalk but they wouldn't tell me how.
  11. If you haven't seen the Tip Site Directory here yet then it's worth a look, good place to start. https://arbtalk.co.uk/recycling/
  12. Or you could engage a reputable local Tree Service that are used to the application process. They would be able to advise what work is likely to be granted permission, and best placed to make an application.
  13. It helped that I hadn't had an electric shock.
  14. Home Bargains advertise their kiln dried logs as 100% Birch.
  15. Without permission you shouldn't be doing any cutting in the woods. The permission question aside, felling windblow probably isn't recommended as an exercise in getting cutting practice. However, I'd try to speak directly to landowners / small woodland owners who are more likely to see you clearing stuff up as beneficial compared to the FC.
  16. I apologise for my slapdashery Bolt, he was not electrocuted, he suffered an electric shock.
  17. Honestly, he actually said to me, "I got such a shock I'm sure I used an Oxford Comma in an unacceptable manner, and now I feel like David Bowie with the lightning going down my face"
  18. Only last week the language professor down the road from me electrocuted himself after he had a leak in the bathroom towel heater and decided to hoover the water up, God forbid he gets a chainsaw.
  19. Add your listing here https://arbtalk.co.uk/find-a-freelancer/
  20. Not been much sleep but it's looking good. Had the Op last night and she's doing well, pick her up this morning 👍
  21. Poor little Cassie has pyometra, just gone in for surgery tonight. At 9yr old and her having heart failure already it'll be a long few hours to come.
  22. Been warm and sunny with occasional heavy showers, made for some interesting skies.
  23. I've used fibreglass resin for a lot of things before, including a fuel tank.
  24. The EU don't have a monopoly on that, look how good 'our lot' are at doing it too
