Morning all. Sounds a bit calmer out today. Was busy for a bit yesterday and be the same today again. Found some damage at the yard when we got back, curtain side trailer getting intimate with a timber trailer, was blustery that's for sure. Have a good one folks.

Feeling quite grateful for you stalwarts after my own efforts this morning, gives me some hope for 1,315. Also, I'll be reading Mick's inspirational post again tomorrow to gird the old loins before commencing mein kampf.

Same here, starting later tomorrow and expecting a long, busy shift. We're in a red area, got a warning from government on my phone earlier. The forecast is heavy rain and wind gusting mid 80's but they've been wrong before.

Afternoon all. This idea that the morning is whenever you get round to signing the register seems to be trending lately so I've been influenced! Unlike some, I won't pretend I was up early, I loafed around for ages then finally appeared at the Monday job to cut back some willow. Early bird resumes tomorrow. Have a good one folks.

The hook on Jonno's existing cable will clip to the eye? And he'll need a choker chain as well to grab the timber. Alternative way would be fit a slider to existing cable and use with choker chain. Doesn't look bad to me. The swivel just helps allow the cable to untwist better, even a length of rope between anchor and hook would help. I don't think the fraying is significant, openspaceman may disagree, much more knowledgeable than I. -
