  1. I’ve picked up a stephill (rebadged Honda) inverter genny for £100 two years ago, it’s run at least 4 hours a day since and has been faultless!
  2. Until some hedge fund gambles it away, yeah. We are so far behind in this country it’s unreal.
  3. Or I could blow my N.I contributions on fast living and hope for the best?[emoji848]
  4. Our state pension is shocking, compared to the rest of Europe it’s a pittance, I’d happily pay a bit more tax now in exchange for 20 odd grand when I retire at 65.
  5. Just ordered some. Anyone tried it yet? Assuming it runs on same bar/sprocket etc?
  6. Electrical fault most likely, had left it in car park. Came back and it was on fire!
  7. Our 90 burnt itself out today.. gutted
  8. I’m rolling with a predator 460, bought new 3 years ago, it’s as good as it gets for my kind of work, £131 pm finance, and covers that with first job of the month. Probably out twice a week, it’s very, very rare that I have to sub someone in with a larger machine.
  9. See also Ms 500... I’m constantly arriving at the hinge quicker than I expect.. even after 2 years.
  10. Mostly washing machine/tumble dryer/winter really. Ours is a bit of a bodge as hopefully not permanent,
  11. Don’t! We are currently off grid, 1000ah of batteries, 2xinverters, loads of panels, 3x generators, untold ****************ing about in the dark and rain when a generator has a wobble. Can’t wait for our mains connection to arrive..(16 months and counting). The amount of labour involved soon counteracts any actual kWh cost
  12. Same, it’s really got under my skin, can’t believe this shit keeps happening. I’m not big on revenge, but those two deserve everything that’s coming in prison
  13. Tbh, the impact on arb will be tiny compared with the hit on construction/ festivals etc, I do all the tree work at Glastonbury, they’re budgeting an extra £700,000 for having to run on white!

If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
