  1. Honestly it's ? ?? expensive insurance for vehicles I walk past the older generation and say hello and they look timid all because of the gang crap and the lowest of low morals we all get tarred with the same brush when there is genuinely some good but obviously there is bad aswell Jack
  2. Not wanting sympathy ?? just don't want people saying that the youth of today are lazy some are and others are grafters all the good ones are taken that's why there's none about. Agency work labourers get £15 a hour and all what they need is to pass a multiple choice questionnaire that the job centre put you through a cheap pair of steel toe cap boots a hi viz vest and your ready to go £120 a day to drag your knuckles and not think once, it's a easy job aswell as there is all mechanical aids to do the work So who'd want to drag brash for less? Jack
  3. I'm only 22 work 40 hours a week full time employed then Im also self employed there's some weeks I do 14 hours a day everyday so not all youths are lazy I spent more time kicked out of secondary school than what I was in just so I could go to work and cut gardens to make a wage then left school went to colledge as a mechanic got a apprentiship after about 6 - 8 weeks on my apprentiship I left colledge and was a full time tyre fitter for 2 years left there after me and the boss had a fight then got a job as a drain technician patching and lining drains for alphajet drain services (metrorod) left there to go on new build sites as a ground worker then went self employed but I can't always get my own work on so that's why I've got a full time job so I can pay for my house and council tax so not all youths are bone idle and lazy ? Jack
  4. Bet you've got a spring in your step ? Jack
  5. Do you eat mattresses often? ? ?? Jack
  6. Well I know not to do it again now it was a thing of the moment quite possibly a daft move but it bailed me out of a situation I put myself in next time I know to allow for 2 runs or get a marra with a trailer to come it's like I say I just done it didn't think and luckily it went well but I won't be chancing it again and yeah the thing that wound me up the most was there is a few pictures earlier on in the thread that has a lot more weight on than me and folk just laughed it off then there's the Responce to my post ?? Lets just move on now ? Jack
  7. ????
  8. If you'd of seen me waved me down and explained your concerns I'd of probably took the trailer off in a lay by went and emptied the truck then came back for it but when you have 7 or 8 pages of folk giving abuse getting called a twat and getting funny about a picture in a thread called Overloaded could you be arsed with folk going on about it with a positive attitude because I can gurantee you I can't be arsed with it I've been told that it's wrong by 100 different people but it's like josh said if it was woodchip and a trailer full of logs would they get the Responce I got? I highly doubt it Jack
  9. That's the quotes I got for the e10 a few weeks ago Jack
  10. It's like I say I don't know the fella but they'll always be 1 or 2 folk who don't believe in stretching the rules just need to figure out who they are Jack
  11. To me that sounds like a threat to grass I could be wrong but look at the last few lines Jack
  12. ????
  13. It's like I say I normally get stuff delivered this was a thing of the moment and Its the first time I've took the trailer I know 2 packets is still too much but it handles that well it's the trailer what's killed the spring Jack
  14. Read what I've just replied to eggs ? I know there's a load of police informers on this website that's why I don't post pics of reg ect ?? Jack
  15. I appreciate you saying it like that at least you've owned up to being overloaded at one point and this isn't a regular basis thing normally I'll put the blocks on the truck it's the trailer that's done it and that's the first time I've used the truck trailer combo and it was daft but it's been done now no one was hurt and probably won't be taking the trailer again Jack
  16. The only reason I have this apparent attitude is because there's about 7 or 8 pages of folk going on about it as though I'm the only one who's posted a overloaded vehicle not 1 other person had this sort of response most folks problem is with me since I posted about a doley working for cash that's when Jack
  17. I post a picture of a overloaded truck like many others have and ? hits the fan ? Jack
  18. So is it just easier to say we both have completley different opinions to what we think is a safe load? We're just going around in circles here? Jack
  19. Normally I would've but the house is on the market and it's got viewings next week and the bit what's been added looked untidy so wanted it doing ASAP plus its for a care company that I get a fair amount of work from Jack
  20. I didn't the job get extended ? Jack
  21. Jack
  22. They were bad weight carriers to start with this has just prompted me to put bigger ones on and yeah but £148 + VAT a pack to £30 I price the job at a set price for each m2 so if I get the cheaper packs it earns me more at the end Jack
  23. The blocks cracked the spring then the sand getting dropped on the truck snapped it who said anything about dojng the job cheap? It's the time what was the problem and not enough of it
  24. My main work is landscaping so carry topsoil I do a few driveways but I mostly use wagons this job in question I'd already had 12 packets delivered on a wagon with a hiab but ran short of 4 packs and needed them immediately to get the job finished so I could move on to my next job and even if I did pay delivery I'd of been waiting a week with baclogues of their deliveries so that was a no go and I didn't have time to do 2 runs as it was a day wasted travelling back and forth for blocks so I chucked them on the truck & trailer and took the back roads way to avoid motorways incase something did go wrong which it never and the springs were shite before I loaded the truck that just helped finish them off Overloaded is overloaded doesn't matter if its a few hundred kilos or couple of ton if something is going to go wrong it goes wrong it's life the worst that could've happened would of been my brakes fail and I put the truck in a ditch or straight through a dike there wasn't one pedestrian or walker and all traffic on the scenic route used their common sense and gave me space We can sit and go on all night about shouldn't do this should possibly do that it's been done gone that's it Jack
  25. But why pay 3 x the amount of blocks for delivery? Jack
