Try a flush out tank with some petrol or strip the oiler down and clean it . mine had a small piece of wood chip stuck and caused similar issue

stormsures ok on interior wader repairs .but in my experience jst rubs off on exterior repairs -

why worry unless it leaks . most repair glue will jst rub off toe caps of the boots if in regular use -
not me m8. been back on winter woodland work for most of winter.
