  1. Oooh, boo hoo, your hero, rapist, and all time great guy, Trump is getting some stick for accepting a $400 million bribe from Qatar so you post "Don't look at that, look at this guy". No, a bribe is a bribe, and this one is bound to be bugged to death and comes with expectations from Qatar and a payback of more than that.. which the US population of course will suffer for.
  2. Flying palace.... the security services would need to practically rebuild it to make sure there are no strange hidden microphones inside
  3. You reap what you sow. As I implied, with you on the forum, it doesn't take long to descend to abuse.
  4. Doesn't take long does it? Back to the usual vitriol, same stuck record, no discussions, no chat, only insults.
  5. So now they are re-writing history in the US, am surprised in the digital age when so many records are so easily accessible: Fact Check: Yes, Oklahoma's new academic standards say to teach students 2020 election fraud myths as fact UK.YAHOO.COM Election fraud conspiracies promoted by U.S. President Donald Trump are now officially part of the state's learning targets for high schoolers.
  6. You surprise me on your newsfeed, I didn't think you'd get anything about golf courses, just have an impression that that isn't your thing. I only saw the one article recently mind about pesticides and their long term effects on the grounds keepers.
  7. So going back a bit to something that is making the news today and not making 'JohnsonDs Newsfeed very bloody day' I'd read this report. Relevant to this forum since a lot of the members don't just look after trees but also do grounds maintenance as well.... but somehow passed by by the constant regurgitation of the same news story. My view here, yes golf courses are a ecological nightmare, and to keep them that way affects so much around them. You might say that farming does the same but with economic factors, over spraying on a farm eats into their small profits, over spraying on a golf course isn't really a massive cost compared to all the others they have. Likewise with over use of chemicals, so the story doesn't surprise me... but might be a handy reminder t us all that what we use at work might have implications far down the line.
  8. Didn't we discuss asylum seekers and immigration the other week, I'd have to check of course but sounds like a broken record to me.
  9. For him and his German kids, open borders are a necessity. Hypocrisy of Brexit, all for it so long as his foreign family are OK to travel here. His Reform councillors aren't doing so well just now, about half a dozen elected last week are either suspended, defected or left Reform.
  10. Right Freddi.... Appreciating that this might be your first venture into the world of work... and good luck... you are also talking to a lot of grumpy old me (just so you know) and when they get round to it will give some advice but might also start talking utter rubbish, Anyway, 19 words are not a lot for us to work out whether to give up a tea break and give you a call to find out more... so sell yourself! Remember that a few extra carefully considered words could get an interview, a job offer with a wage... a few careful words could be worth thousands every year to you! The world of Arb is quite diverse, what would you like to be an apprentice doing? For example, some aspire to climb trees all day long, some think that running operations on the ground are more their thing, domestic tree surgeons or felling plantations in the wilds of Scotland (weekly commute). Can travel... do we assume you have a little run around car? Do you have any previous experience - not necessarily working on trees, but for an apprentice not so necessary either - the will to turn up each day and put in some hard work is often more important. What about practical skills, can you maintain your car (as the army advert says, if you can maintain your bike, you can maintain a car, if you can maintain a car, you can maintain a chainsaw, if you can do that you can maintain a chipper....) So add a few more words to sell yourself, A lot of people looking to get work fail at the next hurdle... they post here once and never come back, never interact with the thread... don't do that... sell yourself, it might work, it might not. Nothing wrong either with getting your folks to give you some pointers of what you can do and bring to an employer (oh, one thing, don't put too many personal details on a public forum, odd people about sometimes, add enough to be interesting to employers)
  11. Second comment, I saw the news last night of him being offered to the crowds below and to a person, every one of the crowd had their phone videoing rather than living for the moment... almost as if they'd forgotten that moment was covered on every TV channel, every angle, in far better quality than their Nokia will ever record. Just hit record on the VCR and job done.
  12. Sounds like he has his own mind as far as these things go - an organisation as large as his has a certain momentum so I am not expecting him to suddenly make massive changes but small and steady slight alterations. Which is a benefit I think, far less inclined as politicians to follow the 'will of the people' and act rashly, to ensure being elected again, but in it for the long term
  13. That's a point, though my above comments are sycophantic compared to my internal thoughts, does that count?
  14. Ahh, the grim reaper! Though now I've woken up - coffee - looks like retaliation backwards and forwards from the attacks the other week that killed the tourists... and so should settle down in a week or so once that can go back to their people and say "that showed them"
  15. Oooh, you'd think someone would say something wouldn't you?
  16. Always been a bit tetchy at the Indian - Pakistan border but this takes it up a notch I think. What started them escalating things?
  17. Anyone want to guess what film was on US TV on Saturday night....
  18. Reading the reports though, if he recovers fully it is going to take some time - but yes, hope he makes as good a recovery as he can
  19. Ooooh, another comment about me? How considerate, almost as if I am stuck in your head. How did Kylie put it "la, la la, I just can't keep you out of my head".. I feel a bromance!!
  20. I see your comprehension is up to scratch today, BillQ was making an analogy. That is a new word for you for today.
  21. Saw that on the news yesterday but didn't have time to comment. Didn't see it on TV and though I guess the clip is on the internet not inclined to look but sounds like a proper nasty accident.
  22. A bit like Bedlam? Ironically with the current use of the word "a scene of uproar and confusion", reminds me of anyones term of office?
  23. That would be funny, dispense with the trials, invite him to the grand opening "and would you like to inspect your, errr, a cell sir?"
  24. Very relevant statistic for one who claims to have no racial bias and yet only highlights rapes by that 16% and not from the other 84%... as if the crime is irrelevant just the perpetrator. Wonder why that is (he also sees no harm in Trump being a 'little' bit rapey and complicit in the child trafficking that Epstein was fond of, Trump of course 'likes them young'.. but still a hero of the old JohnsonD.. one rule for the white guy, one for the Muslim)
  25. That's what my common sense would suggest too, trailer max load is irrelevant to the vehicle, so long as your vehicle is not overloaded. Might be some mechanics comes into play if it is a silly big trailer for the vehicle (thinking levers, all the load at the tow bar, trailer wheel a mile further back effectively all the load is then in the boot of the car)... but would have to be a sully big trailer and point loaded for that to happen.
