  1. George, all I will say regarding the Greenmech 15-23 is to avoid the 34hp diesel as it's a Briggs/Daihatsu engine and the engines are now obsolete and very scarce should you ever need a replacement.... Sent from my C5303 using Arbtalk mobile app

  3. Mark we had the same issue with some GreenMech chippers, can't you get a socket turned down on a lathe or even reduce its length with an angle grinder and 'soft pad'...?

  8. Ps, the above only applies if it's a red Case tractor and not an old David Brown 995.....!
  9. Dave, I used to work on Case tractors as a lad but it's been a long time now. If I remember correctly, behind the near side rear wheel is the MCV (multi control valve), it's the big cast lump with a filter canister protruding from it. Mounted on, I believe, the top of this valve block is the IPTO (independent pto) valve which controls oil flow to the pto pack, it's got a fork arrangement to move the valve. If you look carefully you should be able to see with the help of a willing helper if the linkage is actually trying to move when the lever is operated in the cab. I think the pivots could well be seized in your case. All this vale does is supply oil to a clutch pack for the pto so check it it's moving . All the best.........

    <p>A 130 hey, very good choice and certainly one of my favourites and if people knew just how well they performed I think we would seriously struggle to keep up with the demand for them...</p>

    <p>Did you know that because they have a belt driven hydraulic pump and not the limitation of Kubotas engine mounted pump, the feed rollers can operate at a high relief valve pressure....? I hope every thing works out for the best, Jase.</p>

  17. If you contact the service department at GreenMech on 01789400044 with the serial number then the history of the machine can quickly be checked.....
  18. You can tell the age from the serial number plate, it's stamped on where it says 'ce' or from the actual serial number , i.e. 10145 would be a 2010 build. The serial plate is fitted on top of the chassis just to the side of the engine on the opposite side to the drive belts..
