  1. Ive got the 60" Logrite one, its really good. Can roll 36" 3-5 Meter Oak Logs up a ramp no bother and gets a great bite real quick. Logrite Hookaroon, Canthook & Universal Log Stand WWW.ORIONFORESTRY.CO.UK Move your logs easily. Canthooks have two biting edges to get a good grip on the log. Hookaroons save your back and keep...
  2. Beautiful! Imagine the sink that would make! ?
  3. They look lovely! I really need to keep you in mind for things like this. What the biggest bowl you do?
  4. Mind not 100% made-up, but I would like the specific Trailer package for the Mill. To be honest I dont like the Bed on the Logosol that much, seems to flimsy for my liking, although I cant fault the accuracy of the cut. But the Trailer Package does away with the Bed completely and replaces it with the B1001 style Bed which is very very robust, hence why the Trailer Package is so expensive. If someone could replicate Johnsons Trailer he build for his 130 for my Logosol Id be a happy man. Cant fault Logosols warranty though. One of the Blade Guides came apart from the Bearings so they are sending two new replacements out. The Blade Cover has some peeling paint on it and some signs the welds are cracking, when I mentioned this they said they'd also replace that as well. All shipped from Sweden.
  5. Yes, at £4000 Im sure I could get it built much cheaper and stronger than the Logosol offering. But they are being made in Germany and I assume they will be well engineered. I'll see how things pan out and take your advice and ask the local outfits and see what they can do. Yeh, with a 8 week old and a 19 month old and being off-shore for 4 of the last 8 weeks Im not allowed nay projects when Im home on Friday. I'll only get re-set time off though and will be available for another 4 weeks of work in Norway. But it was mu choice to work OT.
  6. Been a busy year for me off-shore. Doing some over time right now so after this two week hitch I'll be right back for another 4 week work period. ? But a bunch of mates wood to mill too, about 10 ton of Oak and a bunch of Softwood. Would be great if I had the Trailer now, Dump it at their house and tell them to crack on.
  7. Cheers Les, no, I cant see me making much if any money, I simply do not have the time. It was just an means to an end to get the trailer.
  8. Yeh, that seems to be the case after another email from them today. A 0% Credit Card might be the way to go. Its for the Logosol Trailer Package and its eye wateringly expensive. Inc VAT and Delivery from Germany its close to £4000. But as I have a Generation 1 Mill I'd need a whole new bed to go with it.
  9. Thanks for all the help and advice guys. Looks like its not a viable plan.
  10. Im not sure really? Just that the finance company Davies Implements uses requires me to to be registered as a business to qualify for their rates. I currently have any more details. Andy
  11. Hey all, I need to register a business to get finance for some equipment. How do I go about this and is it very time consuming? Cheers,
  12. Woodlands HM130 Portable sawmill (used) Still under warranty. WWW.EBAY.CO.UK Condition is Used. Collection in person only. I bought this saw from new, and is still in warranty (3 year). Bought Aug 2018.
  13. Might be the security risk of folk knowing he's regularly away from his property for long periods of time. Innocent mistake to make though.
  14. The mobility and single person usage of a Battery Grease gun wins it for me. Id much rather not dance a jig on the deck or do a rain dance to get get my grease to flow. To be fair we're never greasing to the levels you are, 5t diggers, Avants and 2.6t Teli-Handlers etc. Slipping in a new tubes never been considered a chore. Who's not pretended they're not slotting another mag into their sub machine gun? Just me? Oh.
  15. I know loads of people who use battery operated Grease Guns and love them. Have you got shares in this contraption?
  16. Im new to this and learning all the time, so thanks for the advice. Ive not see the issues you've mentioned in the two years they've been stickered. But next time just to be safe I'll follow your guidelines.
  17. What did you do with it in the end?
  18. Interesting. Ive never had warpage, or issues with moisture loss causing splitting as you can see in the pic. That lots been like that for over two years, not strapped down and not well supported when the smaller log was plonked on top of the lower one but there's maybe 2-3 slabs that have cupped slightly. A 1" thick and a couple of Crown Cut Slabs. Not bad for lack of care in stickering and in a Polly Tunnel too. Hopefully 12-15% will be ok in the Bedroom. But I'll give it 2-3 weeks to stabilize as mentioned.
  19. Thanks. Interesting comment regarding the sticks. i just made a bunch up to the same length so they can be reused later. Whats the thought behind being flush with the slabs other than aesthetics?
  20. Cheers Guys, much appreciated. I think I'll just risk it then. Im heading off-shore again soon so cutting oversize as Mr Devil suggests and letting it rest in the room for the 2-3 weeks Im away cant hurt.
  21. Ok, so I know I really should get air dried wood down to 8% for use in the house but Ive been tasked wioth building a Teddy Zoo for the wee one (dont ask) And the Oak I have is around 12-15%. I plan on milling the 50mm slabs into 50x50mm or 50x 75mm batons for the 1.5m corner uprights. Ive got Kiln Dried Oak coming but its only 800mm long so they will be the Slats and cross sections. I'll make it in the same style as the Cot I made her. So my question really is will the 15% Oak I have split badly if brought inside? Its a cold house anyway as its an old Farm House.
  22. Looks like you drive a POS MG and dare to call others twats? How about you vent your anger and lift that disgusting patio and lay a new one ya Cock.
