Nothing dies of old age in nature. What you are suggesting is no different to me going out tonight, taking a reckless shot on a roe and letting the dogs do the rest. We are poles apart socially and politically but rest assured on this topic unless you can do it cleanly and effectively you are far better off getting a professional in. Many very competent shooters will do rat work for free. I’m not going to get into a debate on this as for me there isn’t one to be had. Yeah cheers it’s a decent tool, crows, pigeons, magpies etc are its job, my preferred bit of kit for rats is an FAC super ten.

It shouldn’t matter what you are shooting, the primary aim should always be for a clean quick kill. Even rats or other vermin deserve that level of respect. They will soon learn to be careful and harder to get a shot on. Me personally if I can’t with a high level of probability be sure I can achieve a clean single shot despatch then I’d not even think about pulling the trigger.

Did a one for one on my multi shot recently and sourced an M3K. I had been reading up on them a fair bit and didn’t find much not to like. So far so good, does the job, cycles very quickly and smoothly, chunky oversized controls which should be good come the bad weather and a tough no hassle finish.

Did you even watch what was happening or the run up to that attack or is it more important to rubbish anything you can or rather doesn’t fit your views, you might be suprised at the more sensible reasoned argument being put over in LI .
