Well there’s a few bits coming out that might be up for grabs on the work at Lochmaddy pier, I’ve put a few of the longer bits aside already those in pic are off the surface measuring 300x350mm. I’d make sure your pals Alaskan has a winch for the sake of your back. I’ve had a wander around the woods you mention on a quiet Sunday.

Not many trees near where I’m working Les I think the bloody wind sees to that. I always thought Greenheart was imported !!. there is an experimental plantation I think that says something on a sign abut seeing if it would cope with wind etc ( I’ll take a pic and post it if I’m up there again)

Yeah it’s shit Les Best few days weather we’ve had up here for a while and I’m off to work on Thursday too 🤮, just replied to the guy with the greenheart, not sure what Island he’s on but you never know might be able to help and throw the 880 in the pick up.

I’m home at min but back up in Lochmaddy from Thursday onwards ( weather and ferry permitting) and can-easy take a look, it’s a bastard to mill and the dust is not good for you, is the timber off old piers etc ??. PM me as ive a decent 880 and Alaskan set up as well as the Trakmet mobile saw but that would be a bit of hassle to get over 😂 Shame as the stellite tipped blades do cope ok with it. .

O2 Provision/Admin and a first aid refresher, worthwhile I know and need to keep it in date but I hate the classroom Andy especially when weathers good.
