  1. Hi All Mate at work has damaged a Lower runner on a hand rail on his boat and is looking to source some Iroko to repair it. Size approx 1100mm long and 80x80mm. Boats over in Londonderry. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Cheers
  2. Absolute rubbish we are talking about hours if even that. Some jobsworth wankers really need to get a bloody life. Davey in particular has hypocritically refused to say much at all about all the bloody protests going on.
  3. I see it’s in the news that Ed Davey the acting leader of the Lib Dem’s has actually bothered his feeble jobsworth arse and written to Kent police about Farages pub visit !!!!. Come on seriously the 14 day thing was just about out plus he has been tested etc and proven to be clear. Is this the calibre or pure wanker that thinks this will buy him brownie points in some people’s eyes. I’m sure the stay at home save the nhs obey every single instruction etc types whom hate Farage for brexit will disagree but as far as I’m concerned Davey has made himself look like a snivelling little grass.
  4. England population density 281 per sq km average with a range of a low of 50 and a high of 5700. Scotland an average of 65 per sq km with a range of a low of 8 and a high of 3398. The huge International transport hubs etc played a big part in the spread early on. What price has to be paid for the supposed elimination of a virus ??, 1 death yesterday in Scotland with 12 new confirmed cases. If anyone thinks that level of loss/infection is worth the economic catastrophe currently being witnessed in Scotland I’d suggest otherwise.
  5. Lol ? that’s the best laugh I’ve had this week. Feel like I’ve just been grammatically slapped across the face by a cloud of fairy dust ????
  6. wearing a helmet on a motorcycle or a seatbelt have unquestionable statistical and scientific evidence to prove that they save lives so no problem with that at all, whilst wearing a safety helmet on a bicycle is a choice I’d say most definitely it’s a wise choice to do so, but none of the above can in any way be attributed to many of the restrictions applied over the last 100 days plus. As for Boris and the supposed free for all you refer too !!! Would that be people being allowed to think for themselves perhaps ?‍♂️. realistically how long do you think this current insane state of virtual economic paralysis can be sustained for. Great if you are on government or local authority payroll but for millions it’s causing untold misery and mental anguish on a daily basis. You keep believing the hysteria and following the rules I’ll use my own judgement based on what I have seen for the past 100 days plus.
  7. Keep obeying every rule and don’t think for yourself ?if that suits you fine. Just a little example of the micro management of people that is being imposed. If you think that’s fine that’s your call, me I think it’s going way way too far. As for saving lives and protecting the NHS that’s long since been proven to be complete rubbish. NHS has never been anywhere near overwhelmed, the huge multi million pound purpose built hospitals are empty. Keeping costs down !!! Are you insane ? the cost of this overreaction is off the scale.
  8. Mate I’d be the first to help people if possible and rarely walk past a guy on the streets without dropping something his way. I totally support a state sponsored safety net. My gripe is the bloody economic chaos being caused by the hysterical overreaction to this virus, in particular in Scotland.
  9. Been there done that PTS and PICOW for a long time years ago.

  11. I’m not your pal I dont use trains and shout if you want but you will be shouted back at. It’s supposedly a free country I dont need jobsworth types telling me what to do. As an aside wearing them on a packed train I can see some logic but in a huge supermarket after over 100 days is total stupidity. I don’t think the train will actually be yours by the way. I know train sets etc as a kid were cool but the it’s my train set I’ll do what I want mentality might not be appropriate for a grown man.
  12. You just keep believing every single thing the government keeps telling you then there’s a good citizen. Much of what’s happening and going on right now are facts not theories, only thing is the hysterical media etc is not holding anyone genuinely to account rather it’s got a huge part of the population convinced the virus is on every bloody corner waiting to strike them down which it most certainly is not.
  13. It’s about state control at virtually the tiniest level not being bloody juvenile and kicking off about that is probs a result of watching everything I’ve worked for virtually disappear over the preceding months due to the ridiculous reaction to this virus. Anyone whom shouts at me about not wearing a totally ineffective masks will be told in no uncertain terms to mind there own bloody business. One thing this hysteria has brought out is the rise of the total jobsworth for sure. Wait and see where the Scottish government approach takes the country in the long term.
  14. I agree to some extent Andy but you know my circumstances bud ie zero from anyone since March. Working now but not due a payment till August so I can see how people end up in the shit.
  15. It’s my opinion based upon statistics and basic observation skills. Like I say it’s not my job to enlighten anyone.
  16. More Rubbish Look at the statistics and facts, when the damage caused by the hysteria and over action start to put what the virus has caused into the shade then the last thing we need is more control of what you can and can’t do. Power as I’ve said is addictive hence the likes of Putin now wanting to change the system to allow him to stay. .its not my job to enlighten anyone, try looking at the real figures of what’s not happening in Scotland and then come back and tell me you think the level of government/police regulation and enforcement is justified. Never mind the political games being played with the economy and jobs etc.
  17. Pure rubbish I’m afraid, before making this statement you obviously have not looked at the Scottish statistics and the political games being played by the SNP.
  18. Make a judgment call on the evidence that’s out in the public sphere and base the way you approach this accordingly. Or allow the media and state to control everything ?‍♂️. My choice is on the former. I don’t give a damn what any of them have done as individuals what I do care about is when politicians of any party or part of the UK are making decisions on police enforcement of totally unnecessary and unjustified mandatory instructions. Tactics like this are more suited to the likes of China and North Korea. My own view of today’s announcement by Sturgeon ref mandatory face covering after over 100 days is that it’s probably the most unjustified decision so far made during this whole charade.
  19. Quite frankly who gives a shit ?‍♂️. We are being treat like fools whom must be dictated to and given guidance etc etc etc at all times. The media have absolutely terrified people with hysterical reporting from day one. We have totally non statistical based decisions like this pure shit about masks in shops after three and a half months without them now being enforced by the police here in Scotland from the 10th of July. The whole thing is a total sham. Let people make a choice based on the available guidance or go down the route of total state control. I know which I prefer.
  20. So now after over 100 days of lockdown with hugely reduced numbers of infection and zero to single figure weekly fatalities we have that total control freak Sturgeon deciding that regardless of the statistics or facts that we must wear face coverings to enter any shop. Why now ??. Zero logic or statistics to justify it other than she can. Why was it not brought in at the beginning ??. 3 months plus going to supermarket or garage etc with no problems and the totally hyped virus being brought under control. SNP and Sturgeon in particular seem rather desperate not to let go of the power and control this brings them.
  21. That would no doubt be an unpalatable truth for some, the simple fact that ethnicity does play a part in the individuals susceptibility to the virus is ignored. What we get instead is yet more media driven hysteria ref racism and the virus etc etc, People need to take a look at what’s actually going on right now and the amount of power being exerted by authorities on individuals. Classic example is the mayor of London demanding even more powers, it’s often quoted as power is addictive and several of the figures in the news regularly would seem to confirm this. Scotland is dying economically yet Sturgeon refused to do anything even though the virus is virtually eliminated.
  22. Full site survey ref what percentage of PH v GH yet to be done so bit of a guess at min. It’s a decent size structure though so we are not talking just one or two piles.
  23. If it comes off Mark I’ll no doubt put the efforts on here. No probs ref putting some aside ?
  24. Two different sizes approx 600x600 and 400x400, first ones are probs biggest I’ve seen on a removal job in years. All the sections above the tidal range are in excellent condition.
  25. Loads of options at the moment to think of in regards best route to take for a return, whatever comes from the timber will be a bonus as the job is basically payment for extraction of what’s there and keep the piles so zero cost on the timber itself. Ive cut plenty of these off at bed level using a Dan arm air powered saw and know what a bugger they are to deal with. As I said the tops have never been submerged but obviously have taken waves and spray etc over the years. End of the day it would be good to see it get re used rather than ending up scrapped or burnt.
