Hi, has anyone upgraded to the new eco tip wheel for the predator terminator 880pro chainsaw stump grinder? And if so was it worth it? , short video I've seen, it does look much more efficient, cheers

Hi , do you reckon one of those units be OK (make bearable) for welding under van outside if say pointed 5/6ft away or closer? Cheers

No one cares what you think

Ok , they go for just over 3k new and go for around 1.5-2k used depending on condition , logosol f2 new £1680 & f2+ £2040 Inc vat (bare mill ,which is what Iam after), so used I've seen logosol f series go for 1-1.5k and farmers m7/8 £750-£1000 so in terms of value roughly the same, so again a perfectly reasonable trade , which is why I asked. Rather dig out stump with a spoon ? Ever used one with sharp teeth? Guess not. Can you store the cheap rockmachinery stump grinder on a shelf or behind truck seat for them last minute "could you just jobs"? Or have room for another 200kg piece of machinery. Of course no offence taken, this is the internet after all.

Swap still available if anyone's got a logsol m8 or f2 mill or logosol timberjig with rail gathering dust👍

Cheers all!, yea finish on Nessie was tedious a lot of area cover , did it with manpa gouge cutter, so bit faster then with tip of saw👍
-
Two of the more unusual carvings from this year, E.t finger lights up with small led 👽. Nessie was to be used as seating for xc eventing course by a pond

As above, definitely go for one of the caps, I've got the JSP powercap , expensive for what it is, but probably spent at least that amount on all sorts of mask/goggle/glasses combinations over the years

Not much really you can do if it was green when carved, I've found heavy oiling then varnish finish can help reduce but not stop the splitting 👍

Hey up, I've got the rear handle battery Stihl msa200 & 161? used for both tree work and carving, but recently my petrol echo top handle was playing up so I went for the Makita battery topper and it's really good, if had time again I would of brought the Makita rear handles instead of the Stihls and saved a lot of money and brought stack of Makita batteries with the saving.

I had this made up by local engineering firm, cost around 90-100£, weighs 20kg. Fits original bolts holes so no drilling and looks factory kit, hope it helps👍

Nice one Dan, I'll give you ring in the week👍

Thanks for the reply, which model/make have you got? Are the oxdale ones any good ? Or are they more or less the same thing just different colour paint? , Cheers
