  5. I've got one and they are good for small/medium stumps just keep the teeth sharp and like has already been said they do take a bit of effort , did this oak this morning (size8 boot for scale) on site for about hour, 40mins or so grinding time and 20mins picking stones out &cleaning round stump, Inc small shrub taken out and tidy up. Was about to sell mine but having used it with set of new teeth decided to keep .

  15. This is what meant by straight thru, 13mm oak dowels + gorilla glue full width of slab👍
  16. As per title , sherpa mini skidsteer loader available with operator for 1/4 , 1/2 or full days even one off small jobs. Price for full day Inc fuel, groundworker and saws is £300, understand I lot wouldn't want machine sat doing nothing for large part of day so can also do one off small jobs moving logs from back garden to front skip/trailer /grab wagon etc , price for this depends on the job ring for a price if I can help cheers Lee 0780 7825118
  17. I'd just keep it simple with this and drill two or three holes straight through , smash some oak dowels and gorilla glue in ,try get slight angle if possible to make it harder for wood pull apart. Then carve the turtle let it split (I tend put carvings in full sun if I see a problem split happening to speed it up) then just tap some scrap wood wedges in with load of gorilla glue then let dry then re-carve the fix.
  18. Had this loncin for 6-7 years no problems at all , only downside is heavy lump but nothing wheel barrow can't sort out, think paid around £350 ish
  19. Evening, does anyone know if the Jameson, aus, stein pole pruners and saw heads are compatible with the notch big shot poles?? Looks similar from photos or if notch do a pruner head for it as can't seem find any thing , Cheers lee.
  20. Hey up, just a grapple bucket and std tractor tyres. Hindsight being a wonderful thing I should've just got bucket, pincer grapple and set small pallet forks when I got it then it's done with .The grapple bucket is really handy for scraping off the yard and can pick up fair size logs and brash but going try cut some off the side panels so it can get better bite onto bigger logs instead of pushing them away if you get me!? Haha, cheers Lee.
  21. Hey up, no real secret I just draw with chalk or forestry crayons a rough idea of what I hope! It to be haha, then block out with 50cc saw ,then it's back out with the crayons and study some pictures then draw again then knock them cuts out with the carving saws, basically just rinse repeat and work down to the die grinders or Dremel level. Then if its loads of detail your after do a final sand with sandoflex or mop ,then detail the detail and eventually the ordeal is over haha, cheers Lee.
