  1. Hey up, equipment list was something like: 50cc saw std bar block out. 30-40cc small saw ms181& 12" dime tip cannon carver bar. Stihl 200battery saw with r7 suigi bar. Dremel with small sabuur tooth bits. Sand o flex flap sander . And a cheap beginners chisel set from Axminster tools which was surprisingly good👍, cheers Lee.
  2. Also the Sherpa loaders "slightly" more compact and cheaper then the cast, hadn't had any hard use from mine yet but great for tidying yard and moving logs about and fits in the van.

Hi Andy, after many instances as you described, including 10 mushrooms seats I did for a school which all pissed sap out of the knots and centre pith and had to re-sand and finish them twice!🙈, I dont put any oils on cedars/pines or green oak for that matter as it just doesn't soak in at all , I just do two heavy coats of clear wood preservative(ever so slightly tints the wood but brushing it in also helps clean up any sawdust still left in the details) and then it's upto the buyer in 6 months or so what finish to apply. Teak oil does work on the mentioned timbers and does tint slightly and I also seen some coloured wood preservative but have yet to try it, cheers Lee.

  7. Two from few weeks back , first western red cedar barbel about 48" long and roe buck &boar carved from yew ,tried go for a artsy classic German hunting trophy scene, real nice wood carve, cheers Lee.

  10. Cheers thanks for the comments ? @gobbypunkthe rhino took about about 10-12 hrs ish I think but that was few hours here and there in between tree work, nowadays I try get to about 80/90% complete then leave it somewhere where I see it everyday then keep changing little bits , cheers
  11. Few recent carvings, elephant,rhino and giant tortoise all carved from oak chainsaw,die grinder, chisels for eyes used , Bee chainsaw only with burned finish, cheers lee

As above make your own , you can order the reels from America can't remember company name tho ,but if you search Sand o flex refills on YouTube there is a guy who makes his own and all the details are in the comments, in the mean time I've used eco flex flap Sanders and do the job but £17 + post ?, on cheaper emergency level the wickes sanding stars do work okay ish

  14. Hi, gusharts sell them, search for chainsaw carving on the site, although had to get it re-milled as sizing was off to fit die grinder, or b&q do a cheap rasp set for a drill which you can make easily if you have a dremel and grinding disc

  16. Hi, I managed to fit with bit of modification a titan beaver pro? Swivel chute onto my lawnflite gts1300 chipper (looks similar type) and works fine, best part is I paid £90 I think for it, lawnflite wanted £350! for one
  17. Two benches from last month first a hagrid, fang and Norbert the dragon from Harry Potter and The snail and the whale from the kids books ,both carved from cedar with oak seats
  18. Hi , as per title iam after a oak slab with following dimensions: 2-3" thick 13-16" wide all heart wood 6ft long Green or seasoned doesn't matter Nothing special quality wise as it's just for carved bench seat, ideally around the Cheshire area , cheers Lee.
