  1. Work has picked up nicely, a lot to do with the superb weather here I reckon. Still waiting for it to fall off a cliff, seem to have been saying that for years. We had a dry winter after a dry autumn, water levels never recovered after last summer.
  2. New Ford Ranger 2.0 bi turbo 21mpg average towing, pricing etc. Velly velly thirsty. If economy is your aim, don’t get one.
  3. Think the MK2 is a little heavier, I am sure it has a bit more power.
  4. Not exploitative, celebrating the human form in all its shapes and sizes for good causes etc. etc. etc. In other words, not wanking material.
  5. Ahh, no argument from me. The presence of great big leaves would have given the game away of course!
  6. Back in the 80s the workplace was very different. I was back in the UK recently chatting to an old mate. Back in the day I’d often pop in it his printing works for a chat when passing. You had maybe 6/7 guys operating their own printing machine and on the wall all around them were pictures of nude women, even porn (plus the odd football pic) No one batted an eyelid, till a few girls started working there, even then it continued for a good while. Then one day the boss came in and said ‘ok lads, these will have to come down’ and down they came. Even as a salesman (which I was in my 20s) gender roles in the workplace were fairly clear. Men were the sales force, women in accounts, purchase and bought ledger etc. (With a man as boss) Things were starting to change in the late eighties, women were taking traditionally male roles. Looking back we were very sexist. The workplace had to adjust, the bear pit, testosterone fueled environment ended, you just couldn’t call your workmate a useless tosspot or whatever anymore. You had to develop emotional intelligence and soft skills. Glad I’m out of it.
  7. I’m going to throw in Sophora Japonica.
  8. Serious subject I know. But I saw the thread title and this guy pops in to my head…
  9. Can anyone on here explain it? I’m curious now.
  10. Not sure of your point. It’s Rebecca Front, an actress who also played Nicola Murray, a fictional politician on ‘The thick of it’
  11. WoW! Think the driver was ok, saw him stand up. No wind, nothing, totally random.
  12. Stuttering, but a few jobs in lately. No real cause for concern atm.
  13. Is this concentrated campaign against the trans community (whatever the fook that is) really a swipe at Nicola Sturgeon who has (erroneously from a political point of view) nailed her colours to the cause?
  14. Was he born a greengrocer or something? Ridiculous hyperbole referring to him as a Trans-butcher.
  15. I only opened two, but looks like a white poplar (populous alba) from those.
  16. I buy boots, don’t know their name maybe Glorious Wings (niche His Dark Materials reference) I never do anything to them except replace the laces periodically. If they make a year, I’m happy.
  17. What aspect of having a truck and chipper is a mystery to you? Do you have work lined up?
