  7. Evening all, Had a decent day with the new 620 yesterday and come the end it was feeling a bit dull so I have Tried to sharpen it. I have always used semi chisel chain in the past and have been mostly happy with my sharpening although I had to be careful as I have a habit of loosing concentration and staying on the same tooth for too long. Anyway I have watched a few YouTube videos and have attempted to sharpen what I think is full chisel chain, can those of you who are a dab hand at sharpening please tell me if this is any good or would I be better going back to semi chisel. I didn't realise I was using full chisel until I had come to sharpen it. Any help greatly appreciated. Tomm
  8. Hi, is there a similar offer for the 3/8 chain?
  9. <p>Not yet, do you have cord?</p>

  10. I had a chequer plate box with a hinged lid made by a local fabricator, I did look at van vaults, if you have a pick up is worth thinking about as the van vaults waste a lot of space over the arches compared to something custom, also it's about half the weight of the van vault steel ones. Cost was about 600 off the top of my head
  11. Thanks for the replies, I will see how I get on with the new 461 and then the echo will probably be on evilbay, I will send you a pm next week Rmac. unfortunately the two on arbtrader are in Manchester and he won't post. I will be going to Radmoor and tucker this comming week armed with my credit card
  12. As above, mainly down to reliability, to run a 20-25in bar. What would you choose and why? Sorry for all the questions but I keep going around in circles, allready have a 620sx on a 18 but wanted something a bit bigger with the possibility of moving the echo on Thanks
  13. As above, ideally will collect with flat bed trailer 3 ton at a time or can have a Lorry load if it works out cheaper, ideally hardwood but would consider soft wood
  14. Hi, I'm in Holsworthy
  15. Thanks, will pm you when I find something
  16. Thanks, could you pm me if you have anything
  17. H, thanks for the replies, i was hoping for someone local ish to save on transport, thanks anyway. I am looking to buy it in lengths, the sort of size loads that go out of the forestry commission down here, I can then cut it as and when I get time. Thanks
  18. As above, looking to buy a big load of soft wood for burning next winter, is there anyone local at a good price? I'm in north cornwall
  19. Damn autocorrect on the iPad!
  20. Thanks all, I find the echo fine for my needs authough not sure how long it will last as it doesn't feel as well built as a still, friend has a 461 on order so we will see how that goes! Wondering if I should have spent the extra now!!
  21. Anyone?
  22. evening all. I picked up my new 620 today, happy so far authough only ran it through a bit of ash I had in the field to see what it was like. I work a friend with is also after a new saw and was waiting for me to get the 620 before he made his desission, he seems to be under the impression anything over a 20in bar will be to big? has anyone with this saw tried to run anything other than the stock 18 and if so how did you find it? if it is the case that a bigger bar will be too much for this saw is there an equivalent stihl or echo (doesn't like huskys) that is better suited to a 25? I mentioned the 462, he is adamant he wants a normal carb rather than m-tronic. any help appreciated
  23. Best way to avoid volt drop is to use a bigger size cable, get one knocked up in 4mm yy or sy and you should Hava better chance
  24. Sorry I forgot to mention the saw was three months old when it came to me not new
  25. Afternoon everyone, I am after a bit of help regarding the value of the above chainsaw, I baught it a few months back when I was desperate for a replacement saw but couldn't stretch to a 620sx. I am now looking to buy a 620 and a 510 so want to sell the johnsered, what sort of money would I expect to get? Saw is in good condition and has a new bar and chain to go with. Any help is appreciated also if there are any traders on here that would be interested in a px please let me know. Thanks
