  1. Just thought I'd through a few more photos in there I finally got hold of. It may back up some ideas or make the situation worse. Would be good if some of the people who previously commented had ideas. Thanks people
  2. Not a bad shout, pumpkin season is in to. Will give it a shot
  3. Ahh not a fan unfortunately, but thanks for the input.
  4. I do like a tuna mayo, with peppers and cucumber but am starting to find sandwiches a bit repetitive. Been trying to do pastas and salads. Anyone got any other ideas to mix up the lunch time monotony?
  5. There is a fantastic one in savernach forest couldn't really get a pic of the full scale of it due to the other trees around but here is a couple
  6. Haha that's a blast for the past. Great sketch.
  7. Thanks for the help guys, I think sorbus sargentiana is probably right. I wasn't doubting anyone just wanted to be sure. The fact the stem holding the leaflets was red through me and the fact my picture has been taken half way through its change was a tad confusing. I will try and check for berries. Here is another pic. Thanks again people...
  8. My Mrs has the same habit, through stuff in any which way, really does my head in to the point I have to rearrange it haha. But your right can't change people, but you can learn to live with them.
  9. Ahh I see. I didn't really think about it. Just saw some that had welded alli and assumed I would have to learn yet another skill to add to the long list us arborists seem to have haha. Not doing it for a while as its money and time but just good to know how to go about things and be prepared. Thanks for the help mate
  10. Can anyone give me a reason as to why it is not a Tetradium daniellii? It the closest thing I could find but its not a species I have come across before. Thanks for the help
  11. Are you sure. I'm still confused about this one. It does look similar but still not 100% on it.
  12. Nice work, how is working with Ally, I hear welding ally can be a proper pain. Any tips and any advice on where to source the ally planks from. Looking at doing something similar. Thanks
  13. Yeah looks similar but is not it. The leaf formation isn't the same at the end. Thanks people keep trying, we'll get this one
  14. If it is I haven't seen one like it before, it's a rare thing whatever it is.
  15. Looked at sorbus but can't see it amongst any. It's a bigger this one. Usually alright with id's but this one has me stumped.
  16. Unfortunately not as the misses took the photo from where she works. But she'll get a pic of the bark on Tuesday and I'll pop it up then.
  17. So the logical point is use a pulley for big bits or rough bark. I think jobs can vary so much that decisions are made on the day. Personally I think if you are going to be using a pulley in one place for most of the day set it up and use it. If your going to be changing rigging points, natural crotches, unless the piece is huge. Wrapping around the trunk as a friction devise works so well and I am all for it, but with a capstan or bollard the groundy knows where he is at, bark and trunk thickness changes every time where as a friction device stays constant.
  18. I tend like the groundy to let it run to take the wobble out of the stem and pulleys do have there place in big jobs. However I think your right that kit gets over used and I much prefer the simplicity of a natural crotch. Slings on the other hand make life far simpler saves tying those hitches and bowlines every time just a big Dan and a sling always attached no messing about. Rigging can be a pain in the backside so all I try and do is make it as simple as it can be. Just my thoughts
  19. Thinking maybe Tetradium daniellii. Thanks in advance people
  20. I saw that rant. It's discussing and really gives people a bad impression of our industry. Yeah a laugh with the lads is one thing and take the mic a little, but that was just abuse for no good reason and it makes you wonder what drives people to be like that. I use tree-bay to see if anything good comes up for sale but seeing that today has put me right off of it.
  21. Really strong coffee, can't eat first thing but a croissant on the way to the job is always nice.
