1. "This compact orizontal milling attachment combined with your chain saw makes an ideal partner" Is he from the east end!?
2. As Steve said holly that big is rare and milled and dried correctly can be very valuable to the marquetry industry. Pure white, dry boards can command very high sums from the right buyer. Should be milled and put in a kiln as soon after felling as possible, the same day in an ideal world! Good luck

Hi Les,

I'm just waiting to hear back from the OP. he is asking the client if it is ok to pass on their details. I will be doing the job if it all pans out but if there are any reason I can't do the job I will pass it on to you. Thanks for contacting me, many others would not have!

Cheers Will

4. Try Bing maps. It has a birdseye view you can pan 360 deg. Far better for looking at sites/buildings/trees.
5. Phil, it's a bit far for me atm but thanks anyway. Steve, thanks for the offer, I would love a chunk if you still have a bit when I next pass your way. Will
6. Where is the wood Phil? I would love to take some if it's not too far from me! Cheers Will
7. The business is not Arb related and falls into a very unique and strange vat situation. All books are in order but they are looking into EVERY sub-contractor we have used in 3.5 years trading! It will all be fine and in order but when they see anything that is a bit unusual the go after it like a pack of dogs. For a straight forward setup it should not be too much bother, still just be squeaky clean!
8. Just make sure you do EVERYTHING by the book! We are about 3 weeks into a vat inspection and they are merciless and in some situations it can be a minefield knowing what you can and can't claim! Make sure you have a good accountant and do all your cis etc. properly. Good luck
9. Very very tempting! I wonder if they sell the just the profile and in longer lengths? There are a few mods I would like to make to my larger mill!
10. Wow! Never expected this! Was just having a giggle at crazy American tree manglers! Interesting stuff about the robotics though!
11. Maybe so! I'm in London so it's just what I'm familiar with, was not aware it was only London. Mike, we ha a similar one cutting a 5m x 2.2m hole in 10" reinforced concrete for a window, the factory above makes historic wallpaper and had a German news crew filming. They asked us to stop, which we did, then cracked on 20 mins later completely forgetting our agreement! They were not bet pleased!
12. That's the way of it these days unfortunately! They could have just spoken to you about what you were doing rather than assuming the worst. Thought you were not supposed to do noisy work after lunchtime on Saturday on the weekends, could have been about that?
13. WTF is this about? America has clearly got it covered! Remote Control Tree Trimmer | Mini-Jarraff Rear Lot Trimmer
14. Nasty, sticky things mistletoe berrys! I believe it helps the the seeds to stick to the host tree whilst the seeds germinate, kind of like a glue that will set and harden. Never put any through a chipper but I can just imagine the result!
15. Stihl for trees, Husky for ice skating?
16. Yeah I also reckoned a bigger saw and bar would save the back. 880 + 56" bar and you could stand up straight!
17. Something tells me that this could go badly wrong!
18. I may be interested in the tree. We need to do a large fencing/outdoor furniture job at a not for profit community interest youth center that I help to run in London. We need to fence about 40m and 2m high in length in a railway sleeper style and make a load of tables and benches. I would have speak to my college about it and get a quote for the transport and depending on that we could maybe make you an offer. Do you have any idea what the diameter at breast height is? Just trying to work out the weight of the timber. Thanks, Will.
19. Where is the tree located? Will
20. Haha! My Dad had ran a photo shop in that exact shop before that interiors shop took over the lease. They are professional tat merchants, all over priced rubbish! It will never cease to amaze me the total crap people will happily spend their money on?!
