1. Well what are the thoughts on this? Its a Norcar A62 machine. We first came across the make at this years Arb show and have taken delivery of it today./Users/robertianmurray/Desktop/IMG_0888.JPG/Users/robertianmurray/Desktop/IMG_0885.JPG
 2. I have been looking at this post over the last couple of days and, thinking Andy Riley, is the only diver from Arbroath I know and you just comformed it. Small world, I know Andy as we both work for the same company, I work as a dive tech when not doing tree work. Funny we work on the same boat "Well Enhancer" The hat and gear the diver is wearing in the photos is spot on, its my job to service and look after it. Lots of good youtube vids on SAT Diving, if interested. Good job mate.
 3. Hello Hodge, maybe try Hydraulic pumps U.K. In another life I used to service the hydraulic power units for big work class R.O.V.s and we were in Aberdeen, with amount of hydraulic firms in Aberdeen, sending them off to England must have come down to cost. Plus they did a good job. Call them, tell them the spec of the pump, box it up and a man in a van picks it up. No probs. Is it a vane/gear pump? Hope this helps, Rob

Ash die back?

Hi Arb talkers, my folks have a small woodland of ash on it. We have had a chap from the FC around to check for Ash die back and he found no sign of it but some of the tree's are looking a bit gnarly. We were told it was a lack of water?[/img]

 8. What a dammed cheek!! I drive my Amarok to the job all the time. Fill the back with logs and tow a 12' ifor tipper with sticks. I love the thing, its a proper work horse and drives like a car. Sips fuel and is fast as @?!+:001_tt2::001_tt2:

 11. I'd like them both to climb my pole:lol::lol:
 12. Look under the drive belt cover Mark, what you are looking is a "gear wheel" mounted on the fly wheel shaft behind the three drive belts. The sensor counts the teeth on the wheel as it turns so it has to be very close (3mm?) to the wheel to pick up the teeth. As other lads said check the belt tenison's. I think the relays are mounted in a box bolted to the plastic roller cover? Damp in the relays could screw up the no stress system. I just got a TW125 last month and so far I have been impressed, hope find the fault. Best of luck, Rob
 13. Hello Arbtalk ladies and gents, I'm thinking about getting a Vermeer mini skid loader, 450 650 & 800. What are the thoughts of the folk that have them? Good or bad? Any advice on them and pics of them at work would be great. Do any owners have the root cutter attachment and is it as good as a proper stump grinder? Cheers Rob

Vermeer Mini Skidder?

I'm thinking about the 650 tracked skidder/loader as it is about half the price of an Avant loader. What do the arbtalkers that have these wee (450, 650, 800) machines think of them? Any advice, comments pics for the machine at work eta would be great. Cheers Rob

 19. I had a brand new TW18/100ES, I got on the friday and called the dealer on the monday to tell them it was no good, they took it back and I ordered the next machine up, the 125, which I should very soon. As Tim says above, the infeed is the problem. For what it is it goes like hell on timber but very leafy stuff, like ash in full leaf just jams up a couple of inchs from the blades. The frist time it happens you think o well the next stick will pull it through, this is not the case, it takes the wood and the leafs stay in the hopper, after about 5 or 6 goes you have a brick of lealy junk to sort out. I tryed to poak it though with a stick but all that happens is that you make a hole in the "brick" and stick gets shorter. Then you have to stop the machine and clear it by hand. 5-6 sticks later-repeat. After testing the machine all weekend, I found that pine/coinne branishs go through no problem? but ash in full leaf? After a week of having some of the ash on the deck the leafs had dryed up and the chipper ripped them up no probs. Must be a fussy eater!! From what I can see the machine has plenty of power to do the job but is let down by the hopper/infeed design. This is a great shame as it would be a simple fix for timber wolf to make a wider letter box stile infeed. At the time I was looking into getting the machine I talked to Green Mech and there sales lady told me about this problem with the 18/100, at the time I just put down to a wee bit of B.S. so I would by the Green Mech unit. So if Green Mech know about the fault, Timber wolf must know to?? I think they must be losing sales because of this to other makers. I have ordered the TW125 as the dealer was very good about the whole thing and took it back no problem with a 100% refund, so I could not ask for more. Only problem s far with the 125 is it all most twice the price of the smaller one. After reading up on here about the 125, alot of guys rate it so I hope they are right. Hope this helps you out Betula. Rob
 20. Hi Dave thanks for that, dam shame that the Ultra cant not be towed with a quad bike, that would be the cherry on top. The BTS looks a good bit of kit to. Could you post the price list on here? Is there any other changes in price to the gear you sell? I'd love to go to the APF show but I'm bobbing about in the North Sea doing my other job:thumbdown: Cheers Rob
 21. Hello Dave, what will the price of the Ultra arch 3 in 1, be? I would have got one but is is or was a hell of a price. Just looks so handy. Can it be used as a forwording arch? Cheers Rob
 22. Hi Big J, I have some Cedar for sale, about a tonne, five foot lengths, two foot wide. Not as much as you need but it seems a shame to log it for fire wood. I'm in Aberdeenshire and can send more details and photos if needed. All the best, Rob
 23. Thanks Dan, I may just ask him but it is a way to come for the amount of timber for sale. There is a cabinet maker not far from me who may buy it. Cheers Rob:thumbup1:
 24. Morning Arb chaps, I have got my hands on some lengths of cedar, about 3,4 and 5' and about 18" to 2' wide. Its about 120 years old. Would this be any good for milling? Would anybody like to buy it? There are a lot of Cedar rounds on top of the lengths that I need to split today, after that I can take better measurements and photos, if needed. I have just started my own wee company called RFM Tree Services in the Aberdeenshire area, if anybody is looking for extra help doing ground/MWEP work just ask. I also have a TW125 on order and will be hiring it and myself out by the day. Well time to get the splitter out:001_smile:
