  1. Hi all I’ve had my zigzag two years now and it’s just started to creep a touch today. How long are people getting from theirs roughly? Cheers

  3. I’ll try this out thanks
  4. Chain is spinning on low revs. Needle bearing only changed it a month ago. Will check springs but from memory they are so big how could they break?! Not like a 200t clutch spring Thanks
  5. My saw started running on today. Can’t see any reason why and nothing to fiddle with. Chain correct tension. Air filter clean. Newish plug. Other symptoms, sounds a bit throaty on tick over maybe. Still good power when cutting but occasionally cut out once out of the wood. Recently the needle bearing broke and was replaced. Stopped using fairly quickly for obvious reasons. Not sure what else to say. Any thoughts?? Thanks in advance
  6. I had bogging issues when mine was relatively new. Sent it back under warranty and it wasn’t anything to do with the carb. The spark arrestor was clogged and not allowing a full exhaust. Guy removed it and ran good. May or may not be an issue for you too....he said wasn’t uncommon
  7. Always liked the look of the Ironheart!
  8. I was trying to get my head around the thermal store solution a while back. But it would seem that you don’t get all that much for the radiators the next morning unless you have a massive store. So it would be a lot of money to upgrade. Maybe it’s worth it but I’m unsure right now.
  9. We have a thermo suprema. I’m not entirely convinced by it. Mainly because it can take so long to get everything up to heat. As above no way to stay in over night with wood and then you starting from scratch again. Sometimes takes three hours to get radiators going but probably governed by how much hot water in tank. But like the look and feel and once going it can easily heat our home.
  10. Yeah it was just at the ends. Makes sense what you’re saying. Thanks
  11. I setup a ladder today using a similar system. I was about 2/3 of the way along the log and there was a lot of vibration in the ladder and I had to get my mate to hold it steady to finish the cut. Not quite sure why. Does that happen for anyone else? Now wondering if I should think of a system that clamps further down the log so the ladder is continually held in place, rather than what it is attached to being cut off cheers
  12. Thanks SPud. Yeah its the accelerator pump carb. I took it all apart again just to make sure I hadn't cocked something up, and it's behaving better now so that would suggest something wasn't tweaked properly and letting air in. Will use properly soon enough and see if sorted.....you're a legend !!
  13. I can vouch for the Hyundai one. Had it couple of years, paid itself off pretty quickly. 3 year warranty. Each tool has its niche, don't expect too much of it, but it gets there in the end. Genpower have been good for spares and any warranty issues.
  14. Hmm. So cleaned out carb gauze and put new fuel filter on. Now seems to be racing on idle. I turn down LA so it ticks over real slow, and only have to blip the throttle and away it goes racing again. L is 1 turn out and H out to limiter. I guess there is now less lag time on acceleration! But still not running right. Any further suggestions? Thanks again
  15. The trigger is damaged [emoji106]
  16. Can you tell me where the gauze strainer is? I can’t see it for reason....gone blind maybe. Cheers
  17. Would be nice if that simple!
  18. Last service was ages ago but when I was in the shop and said I was thinking about a service he said what are symptoms. Nothing really just thought I should service it. Don’t touch it he said. I’ll go through your list , cheers spud
  19. Hi folks My 200t has recently noticeably increased the time taken to full revs. I squeeze the throttle and it kinda goes v v v vroom rather than vroom if you get what i mean. Full revs is there, just takes a bit more time than usual. I've cleaned out the carb and it helped with a little bit of bogging down that was happening, but not this part. Any tips? TIA Stew
  20. I just put some Nokian All terrains on my Ranger. Initial impression - seem decent
  21. Definitely wouldn’t go bigger than 10” myself.
