    576xp oil leak

Thanks Spud….I’m guessing this is the gasket here…. I can get my little tool behind so it really has dropped down

    576xp oil leak

He did used to, but moving into semi retirement he said….Unfortunately I don’t know anyone like spud local to me. I had a look and gasket looks about £20 quid so it’ll be the labour involved. £300 is fair chunk to spend on a 4+ year old saw. £200 I could probably cope 🤣

    576xp oil leak

Thanks I know spud is only doing work for locals. So I’ll have to find someone else. I’d be interested to get a quote for the work and see if worthwhile

    576xp oil leak

Sounds like a pain in the arse?
  5. Noticed chain oil coming out between muffler and casing end of last week. Took muffler off, cleaned up and then ran a bit and appears to be coming out from the join in the casing…see photo…is this possible? A seal has gone ? Thanks
  6. One groundie once got my oil and fuel the wrong way round on the echo 2511. That really did stink for some time.
  7. I have wondered this too….it is seriously dirty in there. I’ll try and pin point the source next time… Cleaning all that shit off seems impossible.
  8. What’s your max rpm for a 200? 13500?
  9. As the title says, my good old 200t is definitely starting to smoke a little, particularly chogging, don't know if its the summer heat or not, but just wondering what its a sign of? What's wearing out finally?!! Have not changed any variables such as 2 stroke oil recently cheers
  10. Thanks Mark [emoji106]
  11. Thanks chaps 🤙
  12. Looking for a diagnosis.... When the chain brake is on, and I squeeze the trigger without taking it off, the chain does actually move some....it doesn't feel dangerous but at the same time I would rather it didn't do that! So I'm thinking the brake band is getting old maybe? Could it be anything else? Thanks in advance.....stew
  13. Great thanks. On the verge of upgrading so good to hear
  14. Other than the obvious size, and I’m guessing weight, difference....is there any difference in functionality terms. One smoother than the other for example? New any better for srt? Thanks
  15. Yeah it’s a lovely chain to cut, but not to sharpen! But figure you need every advantage with the battery saws. Recently bought a hedge trimmer so now have the batteries so the chainsaw winking at me haha
  16. Er?
  17. Yes u can Thanks Don....Do you know if it makes a significant difference to the stock bar and chain?
  18. I was wondering about panther bars and if anyone knows if they can be put on the t540i xp so can use the 1/4 pitch chain....anyone?
  19. Too right!!
  20. I’ve just compared to another 550 and looks the same so I think I’m worrying about nothing. As you were [emoji23]
  21. Spring is good, have always checked that after the climber who fell because of it. Think I’ve used two different ropes on it now and just bought some Black Widow to try out too. Tried washing my current one to see if it fluffs it up a bit. Rope often feels a bit square using with the zig zag...
  22. Worm gear is obviously not perfect but doesn’t seem to be the issue....there may not even be an issue, I’m just wondering out loud really!!
  23. I pulled apart again and I would there is wobble. I’m not sure how much is tolerable. But cross referencing to the other two saws I had to hand, echo 2511 and a 200t, it seems similar to those. Can’t imagine there would be no wobble (for clarity as opposed to float in and out). Find it hard to believe it can be wear on crankshaft as it’s not that old (2 yr approx) and I don’t use it even every week let alone every day. Here’s a pic of the bearing on the crankshaft with me pushing it from one side to show the gap. Enjoying the Arbtalk lessons. Thanks
  24. Particularly obvious on the bottom link of second photo
  25. Posting these pics of the wear for interest more than anything
