  1. I suppose it also depends what he's making a day in his own work? If he's doing more than £100 a day clear then that Could be reason he wants more. I don't see that what he is doing is worth more than you are paying him though!
  2. Thanks agg221 I will get a better picture next time I'm passing and post it up. It's part of a long line of them one or 2 were replaced some years ago due to similar problems so I'm told. Not even sure we can do anything too them as they are on the council verge. The chap just wanted some opinions on it that's all.
  3. Ok silly question then😁 A customer of mine asked me as its on the edge of his property and if and when it fails it could either end up in his garden or in the road. Thanks
  4. I wonder if anyone could give ma a clue as to how long this tree will last without failing? It's roadside with some fairly extensive damage 5-8 feet up main stem. Many thanks
  5. Maybe wreck trailer but I'd be more worried about my driving licence!
  6. Easy to overload 1 bulk bag of logs would be pushing it!
  7. Actual weight you can carry. So a 750kg trailer might weigh 200kg so you take the 200 off the 750 and get 550kg as payload
  8. Do you find it bounces like mad? As said above I've got the indespension equivalent but it does bounce all over the place unless at near capacity
  9. No it's sub 750 unbraked. I've got the indespension equivalent. Good little trailers but not much payload. If empty it will bounce like crazy👎 If full it will make slowing slower if you see what I mean so don't forget it's there which is easily done until you try and stop😁
  10. That's good as this climbing kit does not look cheap
  11. Presumably up some ramps though I would not like to try it! Also it would have to be a small ride on as the load beds are not that big on pickups
  12. I've got a sub 750 trailer with no brakes on it and even pulling with the pick up you can feel it pushing you down hill. The big trailer twin axle braked is much better as even when it's got 2 tonne on it you can feel it pulling you back when it's brakes kick in. Get the licence it will be worth it. I hardly use the small trailer now.
  13. Do they replace these things or is it buy a new one?
  14. I think you need to stop worrying about what others charge unless you win every job or lose every job! Price it for your costs and profit.
  15. Oh ok thanks for that I new it has changed somehow because I think they disappeared for a while
  16. Thanks for that do you know who revived atco ?
  17. What I don't understand is why you would want if you don't do it for a living because if it's your living then you should be wanting training as its not a toy
  18. The main reason I would not get one is I have no intension of climbing a tree so I have no need for one my baby ms170 does everything I need😂
  19. That's what I thought👍
  20. Anything big on finance (truck etc) I like to have 6 months payments saved up it gives you some breathing space and stops the worry!
  21. Just to be clear I don't have or want one. But this person said you can't buy a top handle its illegal!
  22. I know it's different but just wanted to be sure I was right before the argument continues 😁 I Did think it was ok not to have the tickets some people I know think otherwise 😬😬😬😬
  23. Thanks but if used commercially without the ticket and something bad happens health and safety would jump down hard on you?
  24. I know it's been done before but to settle an argument elsewhere is it the law to have cs38/39 to use a top handle saw. Sorry for the stupid question Thanks all
  25. As someone who has obviously done this a question if you don't mind? I have 2 part timers working for me and we are just about coping with what we have mainly as I'm still only running one vehicle. Point being is now the time to get a second vehicle and get more help/ try and convince the better of the 2 to come full time? Or just the vehicle for now? As this would itself free time as I would not have to be a glorified taxi as often!
