  1. It looks like Wild Boar males sharpening their tusks. I've got it a lot on the farm. There buggers!
  2. Can anyone recommend the best strimmer cord for strimming around stock netting. I bought a big roll of red stuff around 8years ago and iam sure it's getting more brittle. Any tips well received. Thanks Nick
  3. We're lucky with the fencing we do. We only Jacksons materials and it comes with a 25yr guarantee direct with them. Nice bit or reassurance for the customer
  4. I need a shadow caster! Do they travel well? 😀
  5. Round my way the police wouldn't investigate £60,000 of equipment stolen! 🙈
  6. Can't seem to open the link, anyone else managed it?
  7. Hi David, On my PD 400 I've turned off the auto retract setting sometimes for the same reason as when it hits a small cavity or low resistance it withdraws to not bend the needle after around 5cm of reduced resistance. Have you tried that before?
  8. I've got a 28rx. It's an awesome machine! They have always been spot on sorting any trouble with it. Not that it's really had any problems. The first one I had came with a duff battery and had a minor valve issue, once sorted was fine. My latest one has not missed a beat since getting it.
  9. Excellent news! Thank god for Facebook. Not often you can say that!
  10. Hi Duncan, Andy at ADK plant has a stump grinder for his 13ton 360 if it suits the job and he's not far from us. Let me know if you want his details
  11. I've seen the posters. Will definitely keep a look out round my farm and hope mungo turns up and hasn't been stolen.
  12. I've got a 950hd coming with 3 attachments which is over 1.5t and is costing just under £450 for shipping with insurance
  13. Iam just importing a new boxer from the US. It has a duty rate of 1.7% as it comes under forestry machinery in the HS Tariff code. You get charged the vat when it hits the uk which can be claimed back. You also pay duty on the cost of shipping and insurance. Hope this helps
  14. I think if the job is for a property company in reality it doesn't count for mates rates especially as the mum doesn't live there. I think if you have a chipper and chainsaw this is a very quick easy job. If you haven't and you have got to cut it all up with a hand saw to fit in a pick up on your own then I can see it taking all day! I wouldn't fancy cutting that trunk with a hand saw! That would explain £200 normal kind of day rate for self employed gardener/ handyman.
  15. Our new 540t stress control has been a pain but Charles from Arbrep came and sorted under the warranty. It looked complicated so might be worth giving him a shout
  16. After stealing £60k of my kit at the beginning of December they came back on Christmas Day and tried to take my processor. Luckily they couldn't start my forklift!
  17. It's the power and width of the 532. I've tried the others but there all wider than a gate. I think if it dosent fit through a gate why bother with a small machine. Might aswell get a big skid steer then
  18. Does anyone know of any Boxer Mini Skid Steers for sale. Iam after a 532 or 525. Since having mine stolen I've not seen any for sale. Cheers
  19. I've never heard of a ditch witch before. They look good. Has anybody seen one or got one?
  20. That was the best thing about the boxer 532 with extendable tracks. Tracks in 900mm was great for large gateways then tracks out over 1100mm for stability. The down side of the Vermeer is 1100mm with out retractable tracks.
  21. Having just had my boxer stolen I was looking into the possibility of getting a new one. The bad news is that they are no longer making them CE certified so won't be able to sell into the Uk. 🙈 What's next any ideas?
  22. Had a break over night. They cut through 7 stock fences to get in and cut down trees to get out! They took my Boxer mini skid steer and attachments, mini digger, trailer and quad bike. Please keep an ear out as boxers are pretty few and far between! My place is near Sevenoaks in Kent
