  1. Their argument is flawed.... If someone repeats an argument that is wrong is it not a bit stupid? Someone on minimum wage pays very little in tax. The argument that we need low skilled migrants because "they pay tax" is quite frankly a moronic argument... So British workers should lose their jobs and British people should give up their council houses etc because we should let poor migrants into the country? Well it's good that's been cleared up. I guess we should let the entire third world into Britain then.
  2. Because the "we need migrants because they pay tax" argument is fundamentally flawed. The vast bulk of migrants don't pay enough tax to cover their cost of healthcare/ schooling/ benefits etc. Migrants are generally a drain to the taxpayer... Tbh, I would expect a fairly stupid schoolkid to know that a migrant on minimum wage will take more from the taxpayer than he pays in tax. i just find it frustrating that so many adults use this argument.
  3. I knew someone that worked at a Tesco distribution centre as an agency worker. One week him and all his British colleagues lost their jobs. Next week a group of East Europeans are doing their old jobs at less pay. Then we get absolute morons saying "these migrants are doing jobs brits won't do and paying tax".
  4. Just some points: 1. For most of it's history Britain managed to look after itself without millions of unskilled migrants. 2. The sheer number of migrants puts a pressure on the NHS. Or do you think they never need medical treatment? 3. Generally migrants are a drain to the taxpayer. British taxpayers have to pay tax to subsidise the migrants. It looks like you are someone that swallowed the lies put out by the Bremainers crowd.
  5. Yeah, we do have a lot of our own underclass... It's not a reason to allow Europes underclass into Britain though. I think most villages/ towns/ cities have East European "Big Issue" sellers. They only come here because they get benefits. It would save millions if we kicked them out.
  6. According to the Guardian migrants from some Muslim countries are getting turned away from planes heading to the USA. Trump is handling being President like an absolute boss.
  7. The fact remains that we were assured by all the Bremain experts that a brexit vote would lead to IMMEDIATE economic disaster. It's not happened... No wonder we don't listen to "experts". I predict when we do leave the EU it will get even better when we kick out all the unskilled EU migrants sucking the UK taxpayer dry.
  8. Lol, I love this. For the last 6 months we've been told that the Leave voters only voted leave because they were too stupid to understand how good the EU was. Then it turns out the UK has been the best performing economy in 2016. Lol, it looks like it's the Bremainers that have been stupid and believed the scaremongering lies that the Bremainers campaign came out with.
  9. The best shooting I ever done was going to a farmer's yard and shooting rats. The rats were living under shipping containers, someone used a telehandler to lift the containers up and the rest of us shot the rats. It always makes me chuckle how people spend thousands shooting grouse and deer while shooting vermin is the most enjoyable shooting there is imho.
  10. I found I was catching all sorts with my squirrel traps. If you put them higher up you shouldn't catch hedgehogs. I also find if you lay them at an angle with the entrance at the high end you don't catch pigeons.
  11. I use an air rifle for dispatching squirrels in live traps. To be honest it's harder than it sounds, you have to put the barrel in and then wait for the animal to put its head under the barrel. I found the easy way to kill them is shotgun from twenty yards. At that range the trap isn't damaged. Obviously not an ideal solution in a garden.
  12. Tbh, it's people like you that made people vote Brexit. You come on a thread spouting rubbish about exchange rates and then when I point out how stupid your comments are you ignore them and start with the personal insults. The fact remains, the UK was the top performing economy in 2016. None of your insults is going to change that. Lol, as Thatcher said, it's good when an opponent starts insulting you, as it means they've ran out of arguments.
  13. 1. There are markets outside the EU. You can be fairly sure that British companies will be selling more things to them after Sterling has dropped in value. If the EU starts tariffs the UK will put tariffs on EU products. The UK has a trade deficit with the EU... who will collect more in tariffs? The UK 2. If British goods become cheaper British people will buy more of them.... 3. Everyone in the world wants to go to the UK for a holiday. Visas or tighter borders aren't going to stop them.. Do you think Americans are going to say "The visa for the UK is too expensive, let's forget London and go to Bulgaria instead." 4. Yeah, you keep the banks and it means EU taxpayers will have to bail them out at the next financial crisis. Ahhh, personal insults! Your "debating skills" aren't very good.
  14. Advantages of a weak pound: 1. It's easier for UK companies to sell goods abroad (that will reduce the trade deficit). 2. We get more import substitution (that will reduce the trade deficit). 3. We will get more tourists coming to Britain. 4. Stockmarket at all time high as foreign earnings are worth more. I would suggest your earlier, barely literate, response hardly inspires confidence in your "debating skills".
  15. I have to admit, whenever I see Dianne Abbot I wonder if she would have got where she is if she was white.
  16. Tbh, your comment doesn't really "mean anything". I doubt many people would understand what point you were making....
  17. Or to look at it another way: The pound has lost value meaning that British manufacturers find it a lot easier to export stuff to the rest of the world?
  18. There does seem to be less house burglaries nowadays. I cant help thinking that nowadays things like televisions and dvd recorders aren't worth stealing.
  19. We were told that a Brexit vote would lead to immediate economic disaster. The Chancellor (George Osborne) said a Brexit vote would mean an emergency budget.... it never happened. Admittedly it's early days, but the scare stories from the Bremain side have not materialised... I enclose a screenshot below from the BBC that was pushing their normal propaganda and lies.
  20. It looks like the UK economy is doing rather well. How can this be? We were assured that if we voted for Brexit there would be economic devastation. I've also not heard anything about the war that David Cameron said a Brexit vote would bring. The headline below is from the FT..
  21. it sounds normal practice to me. unfortunately we live in a society where people are sued for trivial reasons. they will need the Traffic Management so that if an accident occurs the HSE cant give a royal bumming.
  22. I know plenty of people that have been made redundant through no fault of their own. I wouldn't feel particularly guilty if someone lost their job after conning the taxpayer and boasting about it online.
  23. The Transport Minister is the Rt Hon Chris Grayling MP. His contact email is: [email protected] National Audit Office's (they monitor how public money is spent) contact form: https://www.nao.org.uk/contact-us/contact-us/
  24. Are the logs you are burning dry? I normally find dry logs burnt well don't really give off a lot of smoke. The way I read the link below is that with some stoves you can burn permitted fuels (ie logs) in a smokeless zone. https://smokecontrol.defra.gov.uk/appliances.php
  25. Tbh, I think we all agree that Trump as an individual is an ar4ehole. However he's a million times better than "traditional" politicians. Traditional politicians allowed the mass migration of third world migrants into Europe. I don't think native Europeans want these migrants in Europe. After each terrorist attack in Europe more people will vote for the right wing parties. whenever I hear of a terrorist attack in Europe I blame the traditional politicians that allowed a violent culture into europe....
