You're still talking about the Virginia driver imagine you live in america and you want to kill left wing extremists. Do you: A. Get an assault rifle and shoot a couple of dozen? or B. Drive a car into them and kill one? I don't think the driver woke up that morning intending to kill people...

If that's antifa fighting IS fair play to them. However the fact remains that the main politician that wants to fight IS is Trump... Yet antifa spend their time fighting Trump.... After yet another terrorist attack in Barcelona I'm sure people are beginning to realise that the lunatic left wing are attacking the people that actually want to protect people from terrorism...

You really happy about that? I'll be honest, I hate paedophiles and I think most people do. For Labour to protect them because they are ethnic minorities is downright sick. Are you lefties secret BNP supporters? You seem to be forcing people to vote BNP because you ignore their concerns.

Sometimes the media tell the truth and sometimes they don't. I can go onto YouTube and I can see countless videos that show both sides at Virginia are violent. Should I ignore the videos I see and just believe what the BBC tells me? Do you think both sides at Virginia are violent? Obviously there are some Nazis at Virginia and I think we'd all consider them a bunch of *a* holes. However I bet most of the "right" supporters are fairly decent people. Do you ignore one side of the argument because there are some *a* holes on that side? The media obviously hate Trump. I just see this as another episode in the media's war against Trump.

The thing is though, the political left don't really have any good arguments so they try to shout down debate by shouting "nazi" and "far right". You really think petty insults makes people vote the way you want? If you left wing supporters don't want more Trumps and Brexits you'll have to start getting some decent arguments... Anyway, I wouldn't say I'm defending the far right.. I'm just pointing out the fairly obvious lies that the mainstream media and politicians are telling the electorate. Trump is telling the truth when he says both sides are violent at the Virginia protests. Or do you disagree with that? Or maybe you think violence against Trump supporters is justified? I expected from you than using the "Nazi" argument...

I think most of us here want to build a better society. We differ as to the best way to do it. Obviously you and others thinking tearing down statues is the way to go. However that reminds me a little too much of book burning.

The thing is people have legitimate concerns then people like you shout them down by calling them "Nazi", "racist" or "far right". You really think people shouldn't be concerned when century old statues are torn down? Is following the example of Islamic State and the Taliban really something you're happy with?Maybe I should go to your village and tear down your local war memorial? After all the only purpose of it is to celebrate killing Germans? How about the Coliseum in Rome? It was built with slave labour and tens of thousands of slaves and Christians were killed there. Using your logic we should tear it down as it celebrates slavery. Tbh, the only good thing from this whole sorry mess is that people can see how much the media lies to them. It's obvious that both sides at Charleston are violent. Yet the BBC and assorted world leaders criticise Trump for saying it.

Because they hate white people and complain constantly about white people's history and culture? If I was a white American with relatives that died in the Civil War I'd be furious at statues being torn down. We all accept that slavery was an awful thing. However no one alive was involved in slavery in 1800's America. Maybe white people should stop being made to feel guilty about things that we had no personal involvement in? You don't see brits or Americans rioting because we had a war with Germany 70 years ago...

The black community riot all the time. They even riot when the police legitimately kill a black criminal... Tbh, I don't really care if they find a statue of a general that died over a century ago offensive... If they weren't rioting over a statue they would be rioting over something else. You never answered my question... If America is so racist why do so many africans want to move to America? There are hardly any white people in places like Sierra Leone, would african Americans not prefer to live there?

In the UK there are hundreds of mansions that were built from exploiting the British working classes. Maybe we should all get together and tear them down? They are evil monuments of the greed and inhumanity of the industrialists of the Victorian era. How about Waterloo station as well? It's just downright evil that we have a train station named after a battle where we killed so many French. It's just downright sick. As for Trafalgar square. Well we should also tear down that statue of Nelson the French killer. I think President Trump says what many people think. We all know that there are violent agitators on both sides in Charlottesville. This idea that it's all the fault of the right wing is clearly preposterous. If the the winning and losing sides of the American civil war can live in peace I think the African Americans can as well....

George Washington had slaves, maybe the yanks should remove statues to him as well? Or maybe people should just accept that the history of America is steeped in slavery? The American civil war has to be a defining point in American history. You can't just expect Americans to forget all about it and pretend it never happened... IMHO the extreme left is doing their best to forment a race war in the USA.... If you give the average White American the choice between choosing the side that tears down statues of their forefathers or the side that keeps the statues up which side do you think they will choose? If America is such an awful place for blacks why do so many africans want to move there?

I've had enough of tampongate... It looks like Trump is getting criticised by everyone after saying that both left and right were behind the violence in Virginia. I completely disagree with Trump, most of the violence seems to come from the left.... However the BBC will get hysterical that Trump isn't solely blaming the "far right"... If you doubt the left aren't behind most of the violence have a look on youtube...

So you're saying poor people don't have the mental ability to budget for life's essentials? Wow! That really is offensive! The resources to put a "pilot project" into place are fairly immense. They'll be report after report and committee meeting after committee meeting. All in a time when public services are being cut back.... You can get on your high horse if you like. However most of us know this is really politicians wasting resources on a problem that doesn't really exist.

I watched that video. Tbh, I don't really know what point you're making..... That video could be used to support the "far right" in Virginia or the "extremist left"... We've still not established who the Nazis are though.... From where I'm standing the Nazis seem to be the ones that removed a statue of a long dead General and renamed a park named in his honour as "Emancipation Park". Tbh, if you had a great great great grandad that fought with General Lee I think you've a right to be angry about his statue being removed. It's like if they removed the statue of Nelson from Trafalgar Square... That's the thing with you left wingers. People have fairly legitimate concerns and they legitimately protest about them. The media label them "extreme right" and portray them as extremists. The extreme left wing groups like "antifa" and "black lives matter" then attack them and people like you cheer them from the sidelines. Maybe you should have a good look at yourself?

The thing is that it seems to be the extreme left that are acting like Nazis though.. The Nazis went about removing statues of people they didn't approve of. It was the Nazis that used violence to silence people they didn't approve of... Or are you saying the guy was right to drive the car into the left wing extremists? I bet most people here are uneasy about a statue of a long dead General being removed... It's not right to airbrush people from history....

Tbh, I don't really know which side at Virginia are the Nazis.... One side is repeatedly called "Nazi". However it's the other side that want to rewrite history by removing statues and violently protest at approved marches... IMO, each side are more or less as bad as each other....
