  1. The £200 quid is for 10 hours you say, so you go to Mr Jones and chip for an hour and it's £20 then drive to Mr Smith and chip for an hour for £20 then off to mrs x where you chip for £40 say, and this goes on for 10 hours. I just think it's a hard way to make a living. I'd rather either go and do a few price jobs and be home by 2pm with £300 - £500 after vat, then take off my running costs etc and I'm left with a very good wage. £120 then take off tax and NI is very low IMO for our kind of work. I know lads who drag brash for £40-50 a day cash, even climbers busting there pan for £120 is low for the risks and equipment etc. this industry is so under valued and I can see why when people will work for such low costs. Have you really sat down and worked out your costings? I know what mine are and I would not be able to operate for £200 a day and be around in 6 months.
  2. No much less, most days 6-7 less if I can, all price work. Get home and out n the bike or hang with my little lad. I just don't see that bust in yer pan for £20 an hour in this game is where I'd wanna be.
  3. You should not put a price on your website, too many variables that can alter the price like, drag, dog mess, type of brash etc. you will find that people will always expect £250. You are far better asking people to call for prices.
  4. I was thinking that. How can you run machines on £20 hour and take a wage too?? £160 for an 8 hour day, take off fuel, insurance, wear and tear , tax then you really are working for a pittance. You would be better working at Asda, go in do what you have to and go home paid. No hassle. I hear of what some lads charge and they do it to get the work??????
  5. The 3rd pic is of a gas turbine, when it was running the heat coming out was immense.
  6. Nice one Scott, bet I can't wait.
  7. ☺️☺️☺️☺️ sorry grey git
  8. Beat me to it. I did look at forst when they first came out and if TW had not made the 230 and then this brilliant VTR then I would of got a forst. These company's should be grateful for all the buzz we create on Arbtalk for there machines, they could give us some free t shirts or something. ;)
  9. Wrote while on the pot after last nights madras!
  10. You seem to have a lot of bitterness towards people doing well. If a top tree surgeon was on 20 million a year I would think bloody well done and how can I do that, I wouldn't be bitter towards him.
  11. Time will tell, a couple of months after the warranty runs out??
  12. If she had of got the Cowboys in with triple sets of ladders balancing on the back of a transit, no safety procedures etc people would have had a go at her, so she does it right and they have a go, if she didn't manage the hedge they would of had a go. Some folk just don't like to see others do well. Some folk have nothing better to do than moan about things, that's just life. Live your own and enjoy it the best you can.
  13. Hasn't Treequip got one?
  14. Are you about 10 Matealot because your posts on this thread are pretty childish;)
  15. It's her money she can do what she wants with it! Nobody tells you what you have to do with your earnings do they? So why should she. Get a life man
  16. That control panel looks expensive to fix when it goes wrong
  17. Are you serious? It's their house and they can do what they want. Do you leave a bit of food and think I could of sent that to the starving kids? Come on, get real.
  18. Agreed, you don't wanna be at work longer than you need to be.
