  1. If they fell it without consent due to it being in a CA then they will be in trouble. Make the PC aware of this.
  2. I have one for sale, I have sent you a PM.
  3. Easily Ian, big trucks = big running costs, you can keep em!
  4. Spot on Kev!!
  5. As many as possible. Get a big overdraft and don't worry! Life's to short.
  6. Bloody forums joe, we should all get in the room for a good crack and banter mate. Ha,Ha.
  7. Pricing without seeing a job in my opinion is stupid and I would never do it. I was nearly offering a guide.
  8. Err, is the last paragraph for him or me?
  9. And your point is? Give him some advice on pricing then.
  10. Depends on your daily cost plus wage.. I would charge say £450 plus vat including all the waste away.
  11. It's easy, monthly costs divided by 4 gives you your weekly running costs then divide that by how many days you want to work per week and hey presto that's your daily cost, then add in your wage and some profit and that's what to charge. Simples init!😎
  12. I've just had an Insurance company ask me if the quote I have given is my best price, bloody cheek. I told them that unlike insurance company's my price only goes up! Take it or get someone else bloody pee takers.
  13. Brilliant machine!
  14. I'm on my hols in Spain and just chucked my beer all over the poolside after reading this thread. Brilliant😆😆😆😆
  15. No Lad, £300 + Vat.
  16. When I used to buy timber I had to have a 6 and drag, the drag was left in a lay by while the 6 came into the yard to drop, then they went and put the timber off the drag onto the 6 and then the 6 brought that. This used to cost an extra £100 plus vat. The 6 and drag used to carry about 25 tonne.
  17. Ha,Ha. Ok I only use Subby climbers, if they were to put on a chipper and truck then it's gotta be £300 if they get no work then don't go down that route. I don't see how people can sub us or not can charge less and make money
  18. But then I stick my cut on top
  19. You have lost me eggs.?? All I'm trying to get across is that lads charging £250 and under for a chipper man and van are on a hiding to nothing. In reality I'm not arsed as I do my thing and I'm sorted, when I started I charged not enough and learnt the hard way.
  20. Err, that's not my concern eggs as I have my own chipper and truck etc. if he gets that then that's up to him
  21. Fair play bud, then add a chipper £100 and a van say £100 there's £350 is that not ok?
  22. That's what I charge for a 3 man team, so a 2 man at £400-£500 is right.
  23. How's that then??
  24. Ok let's assume everyone has truck then eggs. If I got a job in and get another Groundy to help and get £650-£700 a day then fine, But someone owning a truck and chipper needs to be charging £300 a day to be sustainable. I pick and choose my work these days to be honest and things are far better doing it this way.
  25. My mate is a jobbing gardener, he gets £130 a day and the customer provides the tools, he is booked 5 days a week all year round.
