  1. You've just bought a new chipper mate, treat it right and it will last. That means using the proper blades made by Timberwolf. Those may be cheap now but when one lets go and ruins your chipper what's a few quid?
  2. Stay well away, they look funky. Only buy genuine Timberwolf blades, that way you know they are right.
  3. That's true eggs:)
  4. Which garage?
  5. ?? Err, don't think so Eggs, I have not posted my opinions on this thread as I can't be bothered with all the backlash. I do not think I could do a better job of running the country.
  6. Maybe some of the posters on here should try running the country as you seem to be talking the talk.........
  7. I have not posted on here for a bit as I've had 2 holidays before and after picking up my new bike and work is extremely busy but I've had a few good rides out the last couple of months, I've been getting the new bike set up right, it takes a while to get the suspension dialled in and I think I'm happy with it now. I must say what a difference it is having a full sus bike, very fast downhill and handles sweet. I had a great ride out today around Kentmere, I love it up there and great views.
  8. I did the same a few years ago, gave a farmer £100 for a big ash, I got about 40 cube from it.....after I got it back to the yard, cut it and split it, blunted a few chains from what was hidden in the trunk etc.
  9. I would try Trust, I have been with them for 11 years. 2 claims and both paid out with no fuss. Very knowledgable staff. I approached Arborisk a few years ago for a quote, they were getting back to me.......which they didn't. Then when I mentioned that in here they called me. There policy was not like for like coverage with my trust policy. Best to check that a policy is like for like. I am very happy with trust and won't be moving. Trust 01604 492644.
  10. If you like walking in a barge!! They are huge!!
  11. You can send them to Meindl and they can change the complete sole, the Rand which is the big red bit and the eyelets. They can also do the inner too. If you have had them for 18 months and worn them everyday then you have had value for money mate, £10 a month. I'd just get a new pair mate.
  12. I've advised them that I will do it in accordance with 3998 and they have now accepted this.
  13. Garden decking.
  14. Id rather not, people will see me leaving it looking like that and word gets around. Think I'll pass. Too many folk round here to slag work off.
  15. The letter is from a consultant to the site owner, The people who's garden it is are having to pay to have the work done, they asked me but I'm not happy to leave it like that.
  16. I have been asked to carry out the work as per the letter and picture, however I do not agree with the cut that is shown here. If I leave that like that it will look crap and I have always followed BS 3998 and cut at the branch bark collar, this would allow it to callous over. What are your thoughts??
  17. Nice mushroom Ian, very cool:)
  18. True dat!! I priced the job high to be honest and got it so didn't loose out for once and I was amazed that we never blunted a chain logging the stem, even the decay pockets were stone free!! We dropped the stem into a load of rings from the smaller stem wood so we could just cut through it.
  19. Cheers mate, I feel like a new man!! Must catch up soon mate:)
  20. 20 litre done in. Ha,Ha.
  21. Jesse on here swears by them. Also Dean at Global is a top guy to deal with.
  22. Spot on! If they don't like it they can go elsewhere.
