  1. Mine was stainless with black bezel and black strap but I got a tag stainless strap put on. They look a bit dated now but back in the day they were the bees knees!!
  2. I've been on aspen for 18 months now no complaints, they also do unleaded for mowers etc, that would solve the ethanol problem.
  3. I would have charged £150 too mate, I never charge by the hour only by the job or day.
  4. Unfortunately that will never happen there will always be someone who will do it cheaper. I try to price jobs to cover my costs and make a bit of profit, even if I take the wood I price it do what I knock off has been put on in the first place.
  5. When pricing a job you should know how long it will take if it looks like a day and a half put 2 on it. If your good at your job then you will know how long it takes.
  6. I have a g shock for work and then I have an omega sea master and a Bell & Ross for best. I have 2 vintage omegas that we're my granddads and a tag f1 that I got when I was 18. I love watches!!
  7. How many other people were quoting to do the job? Where I live there are usually a few of us quoting for the same jobs, if I went in 2 or 3 times more than what it's cost then I would have no work.
  8. 350 at least.
  9. I Just read your later post Dean do no need to answer my daft question:)
  10. Could you not just sweep the chimney Dean? That would get rid of all the crap would it not?
  11. Why stick with finger teeth? There not the best.
  12. Second that!!
  13. You should have a decent case for it mate, I have a lifeproof case and it's water proof and dust proof and you can drop it no worries.
  14. I'd be wanting 70 quid really, it will be nice stuff by October.
  15. I emailed them months ago for a price and info and I'm still waiting for a reply!! What's that about?
  16. Let me know mate, I would prefer a 4wd next tbh, then I can use it for towing a trailer too.
  17. I have been told by a mf mechanic that it may fit but wouldn't know until it's stripped, I would not repair and sell on as that's dishonest and I wouldn't like that done to me.
  18. Ahh, downer, I was hoping it could be welded.
  19. Good point, I will enquire about that Dave. Cheers.
  20. Found a 4" crack in my tractor block today:(
  21. Just found out my tractors knackered. The Block has a 4" crack in it:( the tractor is an IMT, copy of a massy 135. Just gotta weigh up what to do, the mechanic says we could do a temp fix with epoxy resin this would be cheap but no guarantee how long it will last, next is the option of a second hand block if we can get one to fit, it would then also need piston liners and etc and work doing to the head. Ideally I would get another tractor, a 4wd with loader. Ohh well, keep calm and carry on:)
  22. I allways get payment on delivery and stipulate this when they order. I'm still doing 4 or five loads a week so it's a nice income booster and I enjoy it.
  23. I used to have a husky sg13 stump grinder and I got quoted £100 for the 2 brake pads on its disc.
  24. I often give the customer a price to do the job and if it's good hardwood like Ash, Beech, Sycamore etc I will knock money off for the timber, I allways cover my cost before knocking anything off. I have a good stock of wood and plenty of loyal customers to buy it. It doesn't cost me that much to process into logs, and it all goes in the pot, that's what business is about isn't it?
  25. And? I said to the fella 400 quid and I get the wood, it would fell into the field, I don't see how that's a problem, I will sell the wood and make money an get paid for the job too.
