  1. Hi a customer brought this old beastie in the other day for a new silencer , old saw runs perfect ,i can not see any model details on the saw so does anyone know what model it is please?? Also if anyone has a decent silencer please drop me a P.M
  2. Tell me about it Barrie especially when i discounted the thing down to shift it on as had it on display for over a year .
  3. Thanks for the replies i did find a little plastic swarf in the fuel filter Wefixit. The problem was cured by fitting the whole carb from a dead 17.5hp , ran a treat even @ 3000rpm so there was something up with that one , no time to strip & clean . Delivered to customer today and all good. Barrie i know what your saying about these Euro regs ,thats the jet we fitted , speaking to Nick @ Briggs he said some dealers have been drilling the jets even larger to get them to run right!!. Had a new Lazer ride on the other day only ran @ 2500rpm when you engaged the deck the thing nearly shook itself to pieces , removed limiter screw in throttle linkage = 2800rpm happy days all good , there was no way the machine could have been delivered as it was , it was just a joke .
  4. Forgot to say runs perfect with choke partly on @ full throttle with or without load
  5. Hi just wondered if anyone has any ideas sold a new Alko T15-92HD tractor , its fitted with a briggs 4145 single cylinder intek engine , ran like poo when we originally built it 12 months ago , been stood in showroom , now sold it discounted to clear , only problem is that it runs like a pig , spoke to briggs they said change main jet for a larger one which i did , still runs like pants , set up governed idle speed according to briggs procedure , still pants , idles perfectly @1900 rpm , when the throttle is opened up to full speed approx 3000rpm it hunts and surges , i have also tried removing the limiter cap from the idle speed mixture screw & adjusting , this only improves the idle as you would expect . Tonight i tried a jet from a dead 17.5hp just as an experiment , still no change . Also changed the white briggs filter to the proper red gravity feed type just in case. If anyone has any ideas i would be grateful as due to deliver friday morning. The model data is 31A507-4117 B1-120515ZD Thinking there may be some swarf in the carb perhaps from manufacture ??. Still had enough for one night i am packing up now been mental so far this season.
  6. Ran out of time tonight Rich that will be next tomorrow morning although feels like notchy bearings rather than tight cylinder
  7. Just had a Stihl TS480i fuel injected disc cutter in today , as usual the owner says "nothing wrong with it just needs a service" LOL Had a quick play with it tonight , once i got the pull start to actually engage with the engine it felt tight even with the decomp pressed , took of pull start and turned engine by hand felt really notchy almost like when the magnets pass the coil but rythmically throughout a full rotation of the crank, took the other side off to look at the flywheel & there is no coil visible !! so i assume this must be under the flywheel ?? So i am wondering is this the rythmic resistance i feel when rotating the engine or is it something more sinister
  8. Hi we have a Husqvarna CTH151 ride on mower in for repair , the cutter deck is slow to engage , it has a mechanical clutch that is engaged by a cable and spring does anyone know if these are adjustable internally as the cable does not have any adjustment
  9. I allways use my CZ .22 rimfire with subsonic winchester rounds for foxes , with a bipod and moderator i could shoot up half a dozen a night in the back field at dads farm mostly dispatched with one round , that is what all the keepers use locally when lamping etc , my shotgun is dormant now since i got my FAC.
  10. According to MEDIA CAT there was a 54 and 56mm version of this cylinder and piston , the 54mm version was also used on the 045 chainsaw. The 54mm version is obsolete and it appears that one part number for the 56mm may still be available 11150201203 @ £273.67 plus vat !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. I can get one from my supplier , drop me a P.M if interested , its a genuine Tanaka /Hitachi part
  12. Hi i can get the parts you need , PM me if interested
  13. Hotrod81 are the briggs engines on your rover mowers ready start variety?? if so these can suffer poor hot starting when the auto choke is still on when hot , this can be adjusted
  14. Just got this in stock new mitox CS36T top handle , looks very good for the money , only £169 inc vat , comes with a oregon 12" bar & 91p chain . Its fitted with a walbro carb and a fuel primer , started 2nd pull out of the box on Aspen , i must say i am impressed with the quality of finish and overall quality , it looks very similar to a popular japanese brand beginning with "E" shall we say and with a 2yr warranty you cant go wrong!!. Has anyone here used one professionally if so i would be interested to hear your opinion.

    Help

I would not have thought it would shut off completely if done up , I would assume this would be the minimum output , does the handbook indicate different settings for different length bars ?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. yea i agree barrie nothing wrong with briggs , we see more problems with honda GCV motors and their fussy carbs. However i did have a new John Deere JS63VC with the Briggs 850 motor on with a loose sump bolt , had to remove nad replace gasket and retorque sump before the customer could have it , luckily i noticed a pool of oil on the showroop floor a few days after we PDI'D it . As you say kawasaki are good as are the Loncin chinese motors , sold best part of 50 machines with these on last year , only prob was one with a faulty fuel cap that did not breathe properly and cut out after 15 mins , new cap and all sorted , we also fit these to replace knackered hondas on Belle mixers.
  24. Anyone tried Oberg Swedish files , i was told they are better than the Stihl & Oregon files , was offered some the other day by a company we deal with
  25. Cheers Barrie not to far from you I am in bridport , heard a bit about you from rob ( wellsford) and Bonnie (rochfords) all good though lol . You will also be pleased to hear we are a dealer for aspen and love the stuff . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
