  5. Ok thanks, might use something a bit harder for bread board. Got plenty lying round.
  6. As above really, I fancy making a bedside table or bread board?? Would it be any hood for this?? Cheers PC
  7. I think if one has more material taken off than another it can effect balance? But I don't think it's going to that far out really, I maybe wrong?? A mate of mine used a sanding disc in grinder but to my knowledge doing this heats the steel too much and counteracts the hardening of the blade somehow. I'm sure someone will know more on here... PC

    ms660 recall

Hi jon, disappointed with the answers I was given when spoke to technical was all, for a company this size I thought they'd had been very apologetic and have done anything to sort the fault out. It took no end of phone calls from my dealer and two from me to get them to sort it. I lost my respect for the company from then on. The saw is ok though and I run a 25 & 36" bar on it. Oh it was apparently lack of grease on the chain brake handle caming bit?

Wish I'd brought a husky 390 Very disappointed with stihl 660 and the fact that they said that it was designed that way.
  11. Also staying humble and talking to the tree? Anyone ever done that??
  12. Call me weird but since I started climbing I had some change in my pocket which bought me a coffee or something, a penny was left over and it was the same age as my wife. I've never climbed without it since!
  13. I had the same fault, sent it back, lots of arguing and it eventually came back with the camming part of the brake handle greased! They said it was lack of maintanence! Saw had only done 20 hours Max!!! Anyway the brake now works so its safe to use. So if anyone else's brake won't click on when warm strip it down, clean and grease it and see if it works on yours too...... PC
  14. Oh the choices!! I think I'll just toss a coin and whittle it down that way... :-))
  15. Ah the humble jogging bottoms, comfy Dossin gear for round the house!! Are the x fit a reasonable price?
  16. Pfanners are out my price range, unless they wear substantially longer then they would be worth it...
  17. Anyone else used the sip trou ? Not heard much about them?
  18. Big coni job in Taddington nr Buxton
  19. I thought about those ones, I was planning on going to Buxton's tomorrow (no offence Jones's) and trying some on.. Cheers
