  3. Yes I did it. Little screws to come out but it is possible. Found the same battery on ebay delivered from China. I had a problem where one set wouldn't charge so I thought it was the battery but it wasn't in the end. Cant find the picture of the battery to save my life!
  4. yes they are good, we have about 10 sets and they dont give too many problems
  5. Good age to start, not everyone wants to go traveling, I started at 20 and being young I had the energy to work 24/7 with no other commitments. I have a successful business now just not much energy left 🤣
  6. Off the top of my head 25k + Vat
  7. Yes so far so good, I am no digger expert (more an Avant expert) all seems strong enough and a few mates of mine who do operate diggers often have mentioned its well built for the money. I think its a real good all rounder and the dealers are easy to talk to, 100 hours in and no complaints yet......
  8. First day out tomorrow with the Sunward SWE 25 UF
  9. Evening Looking for some advice on flails. Would you go for a Femac or a Ghedini DA53? or any other make you think would work the best for heavy brambles, samplings and small Gorse Cheers Joe
  10. I have the exact same engine. The solenoid has failed a few times. Cheaper to buy the full starter. Got mine from www.nixonhire.com they are Hatz dealer.
  11. Left school at 15 and thought I was having the summer off messing with mates, turns out i was into full time branch dragging on the Monday thanks to my mother. Much appreciated now tho!
  12. I have a versalift on a Merc Sprinter. Really reliable and easy to buy parts if need be
  13. The 25 meter spiders are the way to go. You need at least 10 meters outreach i find. You are looking more like £80k + Vat for one now but on the right jobs you can do two days work in one. Thats how you make your money with them. Even better with a good climber to be doing the dismantle whilst the spider is on other trees crown lifting etc. Mewps will never replace a climber but if you get both working well together then thats where the dollars at.
  14. The dream set up that Merlo and grab. With a Ash die back contract I think it could pay and they hold the value when selling on
