  1. Hi Guys Can any one recommend a good brand of Glyphosate to be used in Japanese Knotweed. I can see many different brands available online? Cheers Grant
  2. I would say the moisture content is around 25%. 80% of the load would be wood chip from the planers and moulders and the remaining would be fine dust from the sawmill and wide belt sanders.
  3. Wadkin BTS500 planer thicknesser. You will have a job to beat one of these.
  4. Can anyone recommend a place to buy the waterproof cards that you can staple to timber once cut and write the identity, species etc. And more to the point - what are they actually called Thanks Grant
  5. Does any one have a Hiab fitted to there trailer. I'm wanting to fit one to an ifor 12x6 tipper. Any recommendations on brands/models and what weights they are? Thanks Grant
  6. Got a heater but that doesn't make a dent in it. It's surprising how well it burns it the heater mind.
  7. We produce around an artic bulk load of 100% oak wood chip plus a small amount of dust every 8 weeks. It's what comes of our planer and other machines and is a mix of green, air dried, and a small part kiln dried. Is there a value to this - we currently just dump it or sometime local stables will take it. Is there a market for this in the biomass sector.

  12. Some lovely grain / pattern in these boards. Where would you guys market these and what would you charge. They are 24" wide x 60mm thick and 12 ft long. Sold two of them locally to a chap making a bar for £300.
  13. That's interesting Mike. Yea all my oak will be square edge so hopefully it will be ok. Have you looked at the woodmizer kiln system, how do you compare them to the logosol.
  14. Is anyone using a glen farrow biomass kiln set up for drying milled boards and beams rather than just logs? Any good for this - they seem like a good company

  18. Thanks for the advise John. What would you suggest would be the best set up for. Ideally I'm wanting to put green oak beams into it. I don't really need them to be down to joinery moisture just something similar to air dried.
  19. Hi Mike What's it like when you put green oak straight in the kiln any issues? This is what I would be using in for mostly. Any other tips or problems you've encountered drying oak in it?
