  1. How much would you guys pay for larch in the round per ton delivered. Would you say £55/ton is a decent price and what would you sell this on for in the ton bags once processed. Cheers Grant
  2. I'm looking for timber suitable for milling in to beams cladding etc. Most species considered oak, larch, cedar etc. Ideally in west wales Pembrokeshire area. Thanks Grant
  3. Where is this cheapest place to buy ton bulk bags from, normal and vented ?
  4. Can any one explain the process and how it works starting from the biomass log boiler through to the kiln. I would like to make my own with a shipping container being I'm a welder by trade but have very little understanding or knowledge with this.
  5. Thanks for the info. Do you have any pictures of your set up.
  6. Evening, I'm looking to install a kiln drying system in form of a converted shipping container for the kiln and a biomass boiler to produce the heat. I'll be using it to dry timber from the sawmill and would ideally like to run it on off cuts of oak beams. Has anyone had any experience of a biomass boiler that will run on logs and could you tell me of any good suppliers/makes and anything I need to look out for? Any help is much appreciated

  16. Hi Anyone know if larch is a good firewood - ?
  17. Hi there, we are currently buying round logs to mill for cladding material. Hard wood and softwood let me know what you have to offer. Can arrange haulage or delivered to Haverfordwest Pembrokeshire.
  18. Contact your local AHVLA centre if there is any dead stock in the waste. They are the organisation who police farmers and will prosecute. They work along side DEFRA and can penalise farmers single farm payments etc. They made a farmer by us spread a certain amount of his manure a year as he had just been piling it up for years.
  19. That would be maybe azobe but more likely Jarrah.
  20. Have many of you been to woodfest wales before. What's it like? Was thinking of going up this year - does it have much equipment on show such as portable mills etc.
  21. Am I right in thinking that if you can multiply the m3 of a round log by 0.7852 and that will give you the hoppus m3
  22. Is there such a calculation for hoppus cubic meter
  23. Is there any online calculators to work out hopus foot.
  24. We manage to sell quite a lot of it to be honest. The last one we cut in to big block benches 4ft x 20"x20" put some little chicks for feet and routered them up nice. They were going to a horse stables in Tipperary
