  1. I used a sequoia when i worked in Austria..done a lot of cobra bracing. Comfy harness. Now a days I use a butterfly or my old faithful weaver for big section fells.
  2. I agree with that. Ive always said its like when you pass your driving test you get the ticket then you start learning to drive. Same with arb you get ticket then its a learning curve. I'm 40 and its not a problem for me climbing every day i am fit strong and its not a problem on a day to day basis to section fell big stuff or crown reduction/care or just prunning the small fruit tree. Love it..
  3. I climb full time. Cant get enough..
  4. I'm 40 I have had my certs since 1991 been climbing ever since apart from being in the forces between 97 -2006. Love climbing the bigger the better.

  8. Try allan mason machinery in the northeast mate
  9. Personally i would only use ladders to access the crown then ask ground staff to remove it or just use throw line i would never use chainsaw from it even if i have line in or flip line installed. Work safe if in doubt don't do it..
  10. Sounds like he will make a full recovery jon.
  11. He's got wedding ring on..not a problem with that because i wear one..however shouldn't wear it to work in our industry unless you want your finger de-gloved. Or just wear gloves if you dont want to take it off personally i cant wear gloves when im climbing we all do this job cause we love it but always work safe and go home in one piece to your family.
  12. I agree jon. I didnt say anything adverse.. but questions will be asked "how can your harness fail".
  13. Paramedic says that his harness failed. 25 ft up a ladder.!!
  14. Yeah that's the one ha..
  15. I recognise that tree..its the one just up from the small police station. Fantastic specie.. Elm.
  16. Back in the forces days. I was weighing in at around 11- 12 stone give or take. I was a bit of a racing snake nothing fazed me when it came to distance and carrying weight on my back. I play rugby now a days to keep my fitness not to mention running around after my kids and arb work. Having said that the older we get the harder it is to shift fat. So any fitness is got to pay. Diabetes and obesity is an issue in this country. Stay safe stay cool and rehydrate.
