    That's correct, as a farmer I have about all the exceptions minus a few for sheep dip so know the rules. I have a if it's chipped or in timber form rule on site, if a tree guy wanted to pay for green waste shredding than that's a different matter as that's allowed under the EA rules.

    Technically it's illegal, as it's not the farmer own stuff he's burning. Whilst he may have a waste exemption that applies to him, it won't apply to brought in waste. Woodchip rotting in a field isn't really a problem as you can argue that is beneficial, burning however isn't and burning in a boiler might be a whole deeper quagmire.     Might be worth getting a solicitor type to write a worded letter saying effectively that. You could argue that it's not been DNA typed from the roots etc, but in a neighbourly fashion I would be reluctant but amenable to them having the tree removed to your satisfaction providing they covered all costs of felling, removal and stump grinding to ensure it's entirely dead and poses no risk of regrowth 🙂.

    Let them pay for removal, then sit back and watch the cracks continue to grow from their trees.

    There's a phrase, ignorance is not a legal defense. Hence, you're dead, they knew and they're deemed at fault and or equally responsible because they could have done something. I'm sure a better legal eagle can explain it better than me. Think there is a legal way of agreeing to bring your own but that's probably a minefield in itself. Lone working is a different matter tho, as that's my health and my safety, so jog on 🙂.

    Think you can do it with just tap water but rainwater is also RO/DI purity. It's one of the reasons they recommend not drinking it exclusively due to a lack of minerals and such.

    Anyone that says insurance isn't worth the paper it's written on, probably doesn't have it. Whilst I do agree to the sentiment, the HSE and police will not look favourably upon corporate manslaughter and a whole list of other charges they will throw your way.

    Oil it and leave it, nothing worse than working on a varnished desk, slippy sliding and like your in an episode of Grange Hill. Just keep it thick enough that you can refinish it if damaged by the kids for example.

    Personally I would guess chain tension is too tight, especially with the description of pushing a chain around. Unless it's 18+ it should almost move in a light breeze.

    I don't think anyone would care in particular, but it always to have a rapport with wherever you're training. Obviously it's a business like any other, it sometimes helps things move smoothly 🙂.

    Sadly the world can't all be in management positions. There are also plenty of those that just can't do much better than minimum wage.

    What are you trying to prove, self employed=no overtime, it's just time. Those on low pay do rely on it tho, especially when it comes to paying for holidays or Christmas etc.

    I'm not sure about their tax system, i.was under the assumption most people had to submit their own tax thing in the USA every year, as they don't have a simplistic PAYE. Sure it's the no taxation without representation argument. The IRS already has all your income tax data – so why do Americans still have to file their taxes?     It was best described as a country founded by Protestant or Quaker Christians types in a documentary. If you're not working, sleeping or praying you'll burn in hell. It's an engrained mindset that generally those who do well career wise have taught out of them, as a country they lack our history and reason for having so many bank holidays.
