  1. Hum, fishing without a license is what a fine?. Owning or using a firearm without a license is a stay at his majesty's displeasure. Oh and for your 90 do they comb through your criminal history, life, family etc etc ?.
  2. New wire, solder and heat shrink. Avoid crimp repairs wherever possible, unless it's crimp plug/sockets on things like Deutsch connectors for lights etc. Even then I tend to solder the crimps as a arse covering exercise.
  3. Quite simply they've increased the prices, yet will no doubt be increasing them again. Plus the 100 or more no doubt for the GP letter. @AHPP shotguns and rifle are very different things. Shotgun is effectively meet the criteria of not being a nutter and security, rifle is also prove necessity with a whole host of other background checks that are on a par with security service clearances, that's a simplified explanation tho.
  4. Access Denied WWW.TELEGRAPH.CO.UK There you go, it was in the title of the article. And I have a RFD friend and even on those prices he's looking at 600+
  5. Kinda why I was asked, as that's gotta add a huge amount of numbers & money across the whole of Scotland. That and wanting to ban lead, they gave airguns a pass for now. As those promethium pellets were a bloody liability, let's litter the fields with plastic in the name of the environment.
  6. Headlines say £400, that's before any lead banning etc. Hopefully they'll extend the period but not holding my breath, hows the airgun thing work in Scotland as they're all fac aren't they ?.
  7. Taxation was either landowners on tennant, king on subject etc. Gladstone politics is effectively low tax and low regulation, ie the cost of living in a civilised country without it strangling your freedoms or ability providing it doesn't harm others. I think Marx was more than happy with Starmers visit to the soviet bloc country during the cold war. And seeing how most of Marx ideals was formulated whilst living in London, kinda apt
  8. Fk me that's some ai written tosh. Starmer and co are the embodiment of communism, you can argue about all current politics being varying degrees of the same side. But when a government is taxing it's population/businesses to the point of crippling an economy that's not low tax conservative values. Starmer/biden = high taxes, wasteful government spending and intervention in every aspect your life. Trump = lower tax, lower government spending and less intervention.
  9. Wtf are you blathering on about, I've read graffiti that was more descriptive.
  10. Maybe your so blinded by your spite for one man you can't see that he's actually already doing good. The woke bs is being left to die in a ditch and a return to equal opportunity for all not your woke equity for minority issues. Israel and Ukraine are going oh f, let's start talking. Weirdly the Indians are talking to the Taliban, a leader like trump and even Millie are actually putting their houses in order.
  11. You're the one refusing to accept that trump is less of a problem that uncle Joe and his convict/now legally absolved spawn of debauchery. How about using the old adage a apple doesn't fall far from the tree, remember to pay the big man wasn't that the phrase
  12. I'm always amazed at the oh trumps a sex pest, yet communist Starmer associated with what 80 labour party convicted or charged diddlers. What's that labour party diddler website, with yesterday's latest addition, and what was that group harperson was treasurer?.
  13. I wonder if they'll have searched every sofa for baggies of hunters cocaine.
  14. That and it seems to have been very slow loading since about Christmas day, not sure if it's an update or just slow servers?.
  15. Seems simpler to just cut the fence, drop the tree, drag it backwards and then mend the fence.
  16. Having been through the agricultural, agricultural to industrial and domestic planning systems. Even under agriculture they require a pretty in-depth amount of detail, including agricultural justification reports by outside people and even environmental. I'm not saying forestry isn't easier, they'll make an example for that I can guarantee.
  17. They can contest use, as you have to prove you need it, for example agricultural wise you list what you might need to store equipment wise or I've X number of sheep etc. Saying I need 6 40ft shipping containers on 10 acres is not going to fly. As they know full well you'll next want power, water, phone. Then in a few years change of use and finally a palatial mansion and on the market it goes at 300k for a building plot.
  18. In England, permitted development approval is still required. For example a farm shed is put through on a 28 day permitted development application, the council then either say yes and it's allowed as it meets the criteria/planning policy etc or is denied. A grey area would be a shipping container but the land is still 5 hectares or more, you could argue a couple with a tent thing is legal but, c'mon 6 containers double stacked on a woodland that isn't particularly large is suspicious.
  19. Well you put in an application under permitted development. To be honest what your suggesting won't get approval, as permitted development is 5 hectares (12.3 acres) and 6 containers is taking the proverbial.
  20. It's the usual we want a fireplace here, yet not on a outside wall. Installers do as they're told to a certain degree, instead of opting for a room sealed version that adds costs as Dave down the shop says he'll install one cheaper etc. I can only say from my experience of twin wall, it does retain a bit of heat and isn't cold to the touch. Providing I've not left the bypass open during refilling then I could remove skin.
  21. It's not really a case of older having the design, it's more brute force approach to flue temperatures of 400c+ Vs less than 200c on newer models. You can't argue with the laws of thermodynamics, that and properties are now sealed tight to prevent draughts so you can't force flow out a chimney without being room sealed versions. If you crack open a window and the fire improves you know it's starved of oxygen.
  22. Is the space between the liner and the brickwork filled with vermiculite?. Just thinking it's touching the brickwork and taking all the heat away
  23. The job description was very vague for a sub 30k job which I suspect is part of the problem for a temporary 1 year job. No mention of how large an area and who's land, does the job come with 4x4, housing, tools, equipment etc. As your effectively asking for a ground based tree guy, with ecological qualifications, community liaison and ability to work with people that could also be vulnerable adults/children hence the DBS check. Forgot pesticide/herbicide trained. Wouldn't it be better to offer local farmers possibly dairyman types locally, a couple of days a week ?.

251 are single stud, had a few and they've all been single stud and think that was back in 2003
  25. Think you're both equally being arsey. Grow up, cut your overhanging stuff back and speak to him like an adult, whilst I draw the line at trespass your doing the same with the trees. If you were my neighbour you would be having the overhanging limbs cut back and fired back with the woodchipper.
