  1. You know what the definition of insanity is, as that what you're asking.
  2. Erm have you looked at the specs, that moves enough air to vent your average b&Q warehouse or your local leisure centre!. It's 250 litres a second!. "Suitable For Commecial and Leisure Areas" A whole house system like this wouldn't be bad. Quiet-Vent Himpel 8 Room Kit WWW.BPCVENTILATION.COM Website Exclusive Only
  3. Think you're looking at a whole house one at 2000, circa 250 for a bathroom one depending on manufacturers etc. Vent Axia Tempra Heat Recovery Unit | Pullcord 443312 WWW.ELECTRICPOINT.COM
  4. Whilst I've not fitted one, suspended bathroom ceiling bs so dehumidifier on the landing. MHRV is your best bet in a bathroom, something like 90% heat recovery or if you've a loft you could have it returning outside the bathroom so you get a bit of fresh air constantly. Not cheap but cheaper than a dehumidifier in the long term as they're about 250/300w Vs something like 30w for a mhrv.
  5. Think you'll find spud is not in a control zone, so can do as he pleases legally and is only controlling the burn rate and not flue temperatures. I could stand here and argue with cough management, but I'll let the titanic sink whilst you aimlessly veer into that ever so lovely iceberg. Plus narcissistic isn't really the word, confident in my own knowledge would be something completely different.
  6. If Harris/Biden/Obumma etc had won, it would have got a LOT lot worse, more identity politics and wasteful spending on boondoggle climate bs and fluffy politics.
  7. Because, depending on construction the moisture will be forming on the ground floor joists as the air will be drawn through from the cold and condensing on the warm wood then filtering through the carpet and underlay. As I've said before do what you want, just don't come back here bitching when you get fined from the local council or the floor starts rotting from the joists. Narcissist, that a new one, self deprecating sarcastic sod I'll freely admit. Auww, were you expecting a hippy love in or a mutual spanking circle ?. And yes you invalidated that piece of paper, you were quoting the regs.
  8. How about no, you've just invalidated that. Plus with a 10-20 pa, you might find you'll need that air brick next to the fireplace.
  9. Erm, I'll let you think about that one. Where's the cold, damp outside air coming from?.
  10. P45 and your pardon, next, next, next, Joe wake up for god's sake yours is next we can't have a repeat of the Donald legal witch hunt.
  11. I still have the mental image of Lammy or Starmer being turned away from the inauguration and being told to sling her hook back to your tea ship. But its kinda telling when Davos just happens to be the same day as the inauguration, couldn't we wait until next week, nah our new world order and eating zee bugs is sooo much more important.
  12. I wouldn't say tinker, but I know the boiler inside out and back to front and the thing isn't sat facing my in my living room when I'm watching TV when it fails 🙂. I've long thought the hetas biomass industry needs a complete start again, having met plenty of installers, they were barely above combi boiler level. It's also a complex joke to get certified, I've looked and it was just like WTF. They expect you to be a plumber/gas fitter previously, even the gas boys are staying away from doing flue installs due to the cowboys.
  13. I wrote no external air, no install
  14. Maybe actually look at what's happening, go have a look at the diversity hire fire chief. And yes, Donald is having a dumpster fire of Joe's bs later. And hopefully telling Starmer that the Brazilian loving friend of Epstein can't be ambassador.
  15. Personally I think it's mostly poor installation that cause problems, personally no external air and I don't think they should be fitted full stop, treat it like a gas boiler installation. I've a big boy 25kw DEFRA boiler, fully adjustable draught regulation etc. Which was and is tuned using a differential pressure meter I own and is also dependent on the cowl etc. I've known plenty that have tinkered and had to replace the stoves within a few years, either burnt out the inners or turned it into a cracked piece of scrap.
  16. DEI has been around for ages, it's the backwards idea that you should employ the black lesbian, instead of whoever is most qualified or experienced for the position. DEI is government backed racist/sexist and gay flag waving bias. Positive discrimination is still Discrimination, worked so well for the RAF didn't it and having to financially pay off after it was highlighted.
  17. Well they're saying that you're woke DEI (Did no Earn It) ideology is getting consigned to the dumpster fires of history. Plus, I think you're perfectly aware DEI is not equality, it's equity.
  18. Crying on the coffin of your woke ideology?.
  19. I shall do neither, do whatever you want until that hetas sweep refuses to sign off you're paperwork or you end up with a chimney fire. If you're so confident in your amazing abilities, design something better, but I'm sure the thousands spent on eco design are just for show and it's a mob style racket!. Next they'll be a long managerial post extolling how it's available in x,y,z and it's just a box.
  20. That's where your wrong, a stove that's certified to whichever scheme is supplied with them fitted as standard!. Do whatever you want, but I get the impression you need to find a new hobby in your retirement. As the installer will have installed it and taken those variables into consideration, but think we both know you fitted it.
  21. I'm aware of how they restrict them and why installers fit them. The real question is why you feel the need to butcher a perfectly working stove, just saying it's for science isn't really a reason. It's not going to improve it's efficiency by any great extent and would they would have designed it and sold it that way.
  22. I'll bite, so you bought too large a stove and are now butchering it ?.
  23. Just seems a bit odd having a slope/cut in steps on the right, obviously it could be silted up over time from a watercourse but it's all proper brickwork which indicates something a bit more important building wise.
  24. Sheep dip/wash comes to mind that can be drained down. Granted a better os map would probably be quite informative.
