  1. Ah, the newer & improved rotatech! ;-)
  2. You've obviously never used a rotatech chain then! (or did I miss the sarcasm?) rakers will completely shag a new flat file & 1st time 2 of them needed the angle grinder!! I **** you not...
  3. Used to use grow bag trays, fits a fuel can & a decent sized saw Grow Bag Tray - Black
  4. 3 now! :-)
  5. I was told by my insurance broker years ago (so may be different now) how they quantity risk statistically... In laymans terms. If you drive your car 10 times a year and you have 1 crash, then your risk of claim is 10% If you drive your car 100 times in that year & crash once, your risk of claiming is 1% So even though you drive more (you'd think it'd be higher risk) statistically you are less of a risk. So the more you do something, even though you are exposed to more possible risk statistically you should be safer. It makes sense to me but could just be complete bollocks
  6. I don't watch much TV or read the papers so had no idea what yee lot was on about. Here's a link for anyone else with their head in the sand. FAQs - Sheffield Tree Action Groups I think we'll see more of this nationwide hand in hand with future la budget cuts :-(
  7. Agreed 👍
  8. Same deal they offered me, whatever you do don't sign up with quotatis! Dairy farmers have no staff or money but loads of work to be done & no time to do it. Beef farmers, lots of staff, money no problem again loads of work but the general reply is "ha it's ok I've got a chainsaw!" & they do it themselves, or in house Regular farm clients for me are 3 dairy farms & a fruit farm, haven't cracked the beef farmers YET just keep cracking on, if you're doing something right then it will come... Eventually Good luck
  9. It could have happened today!... If the chipper had been on. 2 climbing lines, 1 rigging line & a tag line. Groundy dragging brash between them... Makes you think!
  10. Yeah sometimes it's ganja in Pembroke Dock gardens! It's tough out there bud, have you got kids? Start chatting to the parents at picking up time! Try & get in with a farmer, it works for me & has led to a lot of work for me last year, as long as you can put up with 'their ways' Trouble round here is the price of scrap is rock bottom & every punter is price sensitive. Word of mouth is great & recommendations are the best way for a firm to excel & succeed but it's getting the clients in the first place... How much did Google charge you & how many clicks did you get?
  11. Cheers :-) Stubby, just for you mate... [ame] [/ame]
  12. I believe all those accidents were preventable... If it's a controllable hazard then it can with training & making everyone who enters the work zone aware of the risks (unless you're (not you Marc!) a complete numpty then you shouldn't be on site) + with the court scene, something for employers to think about re: risk assessments Who's Arbtalk signature is 'work position is everything' ?!
  13. Fair play, good share! :-) gotta say though the angle grinder kicking back made me cringe like a Lil girl & all of the ladder scenes. A friend of a friend did the same about 10 months ago, broke his back & hasn't walked since. He only fell 6ft! Stay safe peeps :-)
  14. Cheers dude, he's reet sorft... Postman wouldn't agree though ;-)
  15. What Wood have you got in there? I'm keeping the sycamore separately for my own use
  16. I like that idea! Cheers
  17. Nice one. I was going to stack neatly but lifes too short! So will just be chucking them in loose. How about some pallets placed vertically in the middle of each 'bay' OK you lose a bit of space but it'll increase airflow in the middle.
  18. I sincerely hope so as it's the only viable way I can do it atm, it's a fairly windy site & each Bay will be filled up in stages, thinking about it I suppose another layer of pallets in the middle wouldn't hurt. Eventually I'll build a wooden structure around it
  19. Cheers, I intend to chain up each corner individually & probably a gurt ratchet strap all way around the middle
  20. Got mine on eBay, can't remember how much exactly but they were more than £6 :-(
  21. My best present was this daft 11 year old bugger surviving a 4hr operation to remove a tumor, 2 weeks till stitches come out & another week to find out if it was cancerous. Couldn't ask for a better prezzie, as long as he lives.
  22. Wish you were closer! Cheapest I can source is £35 also but I have to buy the inners with it :-( can't find any cages only locally So I've decided on some heras fencing, each Bay should hold 20 odd cubes
  23. Or spend 15 quid on a curry & get a free chutney barrel! ;-)
  24. Aye, then run like hell! Erm I mean walk away calmly ;-)
  25. My trusty old 361, 8 years old & had been faultless, hadn't missed a beat until a month ago.
