  1. For sale on Preloved, Stihl Ms 661 for the bargain price of £280 Chainsaw Stihl MS661 in good condition For Sale in Dunham Massey Altrincham, Greater Manchester | Preloved WWW.PRELOVED.CO.UK In excellent condition. The chainsaw has only been used twice for firewood for the winter and... , form an orderly queue
  2. I've got some like that it's so you can still use a smart phone🙃Nice piece of printing, makes the saw whole again.
  3. I sometimes get the wasps in the front room when it warms up a bit and they come out of the wood. I open the door and try to direct them out. They fly round like the coastguard helicopter once they get going.
  4. I'd start with a new sprocket/clutch drum and oil pump drive. They should have sharper edges and mesh together but those ones are well chewed.

    Stihl MS181c

171 and 181 share parts, I'm sure the handle is the same on both. Not quite, just looked on L&S and they are one number different
  6. My saw always has air in the purge bulb but it runs perfectly, I don't think that has any bearing on the problem.
  7. I find it smoulders and goes out and it rots before it is seasoned. I had a stump in the garden for a chopping block and it dissolved in under a year.
  8. Not much use to the man in the street (or woods) Dealer Only Part - Requires access to software (Dealer Only)
  9. I did a McCulloch a few weeks ago with similar problems. It had been stood with fuel in for a few years. Carb kit and a good dose of carb cleaner plus a blow out with the compressor and it ran like a champ.
  10. I think Stihl discontinued parts for the MS200T so OEM is going to be hard to get anyway. Meteor is a good alternative but still going to cost north of £100 but if a saw's worth doing it's the best choice.
  11. I'd like to see some pictures of the tree house.😊
  12. Who buys a Stihl MS 881 to build a tree house ? Preloved ad.
  13. Does it share any parts with the TS760 disc cutter ?
  14. If something was wrong enough to warrant stripping maybe it should have gone back before you got the tools out, that's all I'm saying. Now you've started the job it's like closing the horse after the stable has bolted don't you think. He could come back with something like "it was alright when it left us" or he might do the decent thing and replace it. I've just looked back and it says brand new saw but no mention of warranty.
  15. Is it out of warranty and are you classed as a domestic user, what was your reason for stripping it ?
  16. He'll be stood in his own personal cloud running 20:1 😄
  17. Friend of mine brought me a chain to do on the Lidl sharpener as it was in a bad way. He was cutting a 10" trunk and hit a metal bar straight down the middle of it. He did admit to it though didn't try to blame anything else. Only a couple of teeth were completely lost so it's now a semi skip.

    Dolmar

Doe Dolmar still do their version ? PS 5105
  19. Stick an Allen bolt in it with the correct thread, the head pattern doesn't matter.
  20. Do you not turn your bar to equalise wear ? Everybody else does. Just don't turn the chain backwards as well, all will be good.
  21. Probably didn't get the answer he wanted 🤷‍♂️
  22. I had one of these doing similar and all it needed was the metering lever lifting a bit.
  23. I have the 036 which I bought a few years ago and can vouch for it still being a usable classic.
  24. Got a Husqvarna 236 with a chain tensioner problem. Problem is the chain tensioner has gone, it's missing completely. One ordered from GHS should be an easy one.
  25. How long is a piece of string ? It's a bit hit and miss guessing settings, I just fitted a carb kit to a McCulloch and the H & L screws are both 2.5 turns out to get it to run. Set the tick over high and get it running to warm it up then try from there.
